[How To] Export ALL Indicators like MFCD via ViewPorts

I'm glad you have some success. Memory is going despite my youth. You might be able to help me back. Did you finf that some of the exported views like the clock, rwr,etc have a green background instead of black. 1.2.3 is like this but my 1.1.1.1 version install is black which is fine.

BS2, A10c, TM Warthog Hotas, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, Acer Touchscreen with Helios, I5 2500k 4.4GHz, AMD 6950 flashed & oc'd to 6970.

Man I really gave it an honest try to understand these instructions... and REALLY racked my brain trying to get it to work, placing the code into the appropriate file both before and after the first line of suggested code... replaced the file code with the given code and every other imaginable combo... could not for the life of me get it to work...

but everyone else is like "thanks worked great" so i eventually got helios working cuz the link to the rewritten files... and you can just replace the lua's...

thanks for those fluky!

im still curious as to what i did wrong, so maybe i will compare the lua's from the code and the files from dcs with the completed codes...

Hello, I've successfully exported MFCDs to my another monitor, but I have problems in exporting other instruments like DIGITALCLOCK, RWR etc. You can see my .lua below. DIGITALCLOCK is exported to my another monitor but it's not in the position it should be (it's on the top left corner) and other instruments are not exported at all. What could be the problem? I have followed Gadroc's A-10C Single Touch Screen guide: http://www.gadrocsworkshop.com/node/13.

_  = function(p) return p; end;
name = _('Big Screen');
Description = 'Left and Right MFCD positioned under Helios.'

I've had my MFDs exported for a while, but thought I'd try this with the clock and RWR screen.

Oddly they seem to just render in the top left of my main screen rather than using the coordinates in my MonitorSetup lua. The MFDs do use the correct coordinates however.

Also they do this regardless of whether I have an entry for these or not in my MonitorSetup lua.

Having recently got into DCS, i had the exact same problem, fortunately after much googling and a ton of trial and error i worked out a solution.

Download Icemakers Easy Monitor Configurator from this link. The actual program doesnt work anymore, or at least i couldnt get it to work, But the lua files do!. I havent compared these to the instructions at the start of this thread to be able to say what the difference is, but it works ;p

http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/270123/

After installation, the files you want are in the folder : \\Easy Monitor Configurator\Files\Sources\ED_A10C\Cockpit\scripts

Copy those to \\DCSWorld\Mods\aircrafts\A-10C\Cockpit\Scripts

Backup first as always :)

I have sent the following message to Gadroc, just figured I share for FYI & feedback:

Hello, I have successfully used Helios With Cap Loz sm V2.1 profile for my touchscreen for DCS A-10. I stopped flying the A-10 about last December and was flying the P51 instead. Last night I went to go fly the A-10 and Helios is not working correctly. The MFCDs are displaying along with some other displays, but alot of gauges are not. I tried messing around a bit with no success and scouring the forums. I see there is a Helios update, I am currently running version 1.2.176.447, and was wondering how to update? Do I have to uninstall Helios and start all over with a new install of Helios or will the new version simply update what I have? Thanks

Ok, so I backed up my original Config, Mods & Scripts subfolders, copied Peter Petes files over there and allowed over write, DCS wont even startup? I replaced those files with the originals and all is well. What step did I miss?

Did now the same what you described with the latest DCS 1.2.5 (non STEAM) - I did set DCS to 1600x900 windowed and used the "Export Example" monitorsetup.lua with both variants (In-cockpit off and on) - both works - as expected.

Please tell us some more what exactly you did and which exact version you are using. (is your 'monitorsetup.lua' intact and does it use the new view-port names?)

Re-load my files to be 100% sure you are using the right ones - and do it again.

Ok, just so you understand what I did, once I copied your files over to DCS World, I went into:

C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config\MonitorSetup

I opebed up you example.lua and saved it as " Export All Test 4" then I changed all the values of to what I had before in my "Export All Test 3" monitor setup. The only line I commented out was the "CDU" as I do not have it in my original, perhaps I should delete it all, I dont know. I changed nothing for the KA50 because I am not flying it.

With that being said, DCS will not open when you click the icon on the desktop. I will now post my original monitor setup that worked back in December, and then I will post the modified one I did yesterday. Thanks for any help. Im certain its me, just dont know what though?

I changed nothing for the KA50 because I am not flying it.

Does this mean you don't have the Ka-50 installed ?

If yes, give this a try: go to ..\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\.. an delete the newly added Ka-50 folder.

And also use the default "1 SCREEN" setting in a windowed configuration with the new A-10C files - just to find out if it's a broken lua or the files that are causing it.

Edit: Made a test with de-installed Ka-50 and had the same symptoms.

Removing the ..\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Ka-50 folder fixed it.

KA50 is not installed

While my original files were still in use, i went into options and switched to full screen mode and "1 Screen" copied your files back over, same results, click on desktop icon and a little black screen appears for a mili second and disappears, and nothing opens
