Azazel
Anyone had any luck getting a helicopter to work as your JTAC while he has established an orbit? I've tried every thing I can think (FAC, Assign Group, FAC Attack Group) of but once he is in an orbit all he will do is tell me is, "no tasking for now, standby." Before he gets to his orbit he'll feed me a target but once he is in an orbit he won't. :helpsmilie: Mission Attached. Callsign "Dodge" is the helicopter AFAC. Fixed wing aircraft seem to have no problem with orbits and calling out targets as AFACs, just helicopters.Test 2.miz My Rig: EVGA GTX 1070 x 2 | EVGA x58 SLI classified | i7 X 990 CPU | 24 GB RAM | Windows 10 Home 64 bit| Track IR Pro | CH Fighter Stick | CH Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
mia389
The way I do it with planes is just add waypoint near the targets and FAC assign group. He will not move to next waypoint until all groups he is assigned are dead. So no need for the orbit.
Furia
What type of helicopter you use there? Does it has the equipment for" FACing" [sIGPIC]http://menorca.infotelecom.es/~raulurbina/ESA/banner_furia.png[/sIGPIC]
WRFirefox
Helicopters works fine as AFAC! If the Heli is in visible range to the target, it has no problem for the "9-line".....

Azazel
Couple of things here. There is still a bug with the helicopters. Fixed wing aircraft have no problem with holding an orbit and assigning targets. Why won't the helos? Point being, all I want him to do is fly a fixed orbit and send targets (without being immortal/invisible). I still can't get him to do that. RichardG
Do this instead. Make 3 or 4 waypoints for the circuit you want him to fly. At the last waypoint, add a "switch to" command, telling him to go back to the first waypoint. I also put an "RTB if Bingo" command so he doesn't crash. He will fly your pattern of waypoints until hes out of fuel. And you can get him to recon more area than with an orbit command. I like to put a Predator at 25,000 feet over the battlefield. Azazel
Okay, I'll give that a shot. Predator unfortunately is some what useless on a cloudy day ;) My Rig: EVGA GTX 1070 x 2 | EVGA x58 SLI classified | i7 X 990 CPU | 24 GB RAM | Windows 10 Home 64 bit| Track IR Pro | CH Fighter Stick | CH Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
