Bahger
Could someone point me to an explanation/confirmation of how to do this? I intend to take a screenshot of the ME map image with PrtScr, then use MS Paint to annotate it with an overlay. However, I am not aware of optimal output size/resolution or the destination file for the graphic to show up in the briefing. Thanks, guys...as ever. Druid_
Output size should be 512 x512. Destination - doesn't matter where you store it on your HD as when its uploaded its stored in the .miz file itself. i7-7700K : 16Gb DDR4 2800 Mhz : Asus Mobo : 2TB HDD : Intel 520 SSD 240gb : RTX 2080ti: Win10 64pro : Dx10 : TrackiR4 : TM Warthog : ASUS ROG SWIFT PG348Q
Speed
Druid, I thought it was 500X500... that's what I always make mine What's really screwed up is that if you make them bigger, they get resized but still have very high resolution... there may be a larger size that is possible that will just about fill the multiplayer briefing screen. Bahger
Thanks guys. So...which size, I wonder? I'll do both. And with which command/ME function do you actually upload them to the .miz?
Topgun505
I must be missing something. How are you guys even getting a screen capture of the ME screen? When I'm in mission editor and take a screenshot, I Alt-tab out and switch to MS Paint and when I paste I get a screen shot of the windows desktop, not the ME screen. For the life of me don't know why. Have used screen shots in any number of programs and have never had this issue previously. Bahger
I can't save it as 500 x 500 or 512 x 512 without changing the aspect ratio and squishing the image. Stumped. Can anyone advise?
EvilBivol-1
You have to crop the image to make a square picture. Plan for this when taking the screenshot (i.e. don't fill the screen with the focus subject of the shot). - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. jeffyd123
Im confused... how do you attach the pic to the .miz to make it show up in the brief? i7 8700K @ 4.4Ghz, 16G 3200 RAM, Nvidia 1080Ti, T16000 HOTAS, TIR5, 75" DLP Monitor
Bahger
Figured it out now, the image has to be square, so I crop it as a square in MS Paint. Jeffy, go to the "Make Briefing" menu in the ME and you'll see a little window to insert screenshots there, just above the text entry fields.
STP Dragon
Size is 512x512. If you don't want to stretch the picture, you have to cut out the important area to a square and then resize it to 512x512. I use paint.net for this. After the picture is finished you can add it to the mission briefing. Open the briefing in the editor and add the picture by pressing the red or blue [+] button on top of the briefing. Note: Also for MP you are able to add more than one pictures now. 1 Homepage: Spare-Time-Pilots DCS:BlackShark v1.0.2: BLINDSPOTs EditorMod DRAGONs ArmA2-Sounds DRAGONs BS1 TRAININGPACK DRAGONs MISSIONPACK [bS & FC2] DCS:World: TM WARTHOG PROFIL FOR BS2 DRAGONs BS2_TRAININGPACK DRAGONs TRAININGPACK DRAGONs MISSIONPACK
