G00dnight Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 I think I have found a workround for EMC, I was fiddling as you do & I installed my A10C standalone to its original folder, clicked on EMC (without thinking) and it worked ie came up with the direct it to a folder message, I was just about to point it at A10c when I thought try DCSW and bingo it found it & the individual modules for A10 & BS. this could be a one off and I am not about to try it again to test (I may look stoopid)). so give it a go I have not uninstalled A10 for same reason. Madog Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 (edited) Solved: no tabs for modules Hey, you can easily fix the EMC by adding the neccersary Registry paths yourself. For example, to enable the A-10C tab you have to add a key named "A-10C" under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World and insert a string named "Path" with the path to your A-10C module (default: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\A-10C). The code of the corresponding exported .reg file looks like this: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\A-10C] "Path"="C:\\Program Files\\Eagle Dynamics\\DCS World\\Mods\\aircrafts\\A-10C" The keynames "KA-50", "FC3" and "CA" can be used to enable the tabs for the different modules respectivly. Have fun, Madog Edited December 23, 2013 by Madog 1

Madog Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Hey, i think i did not explain properly: you'll need to create a key (a "folder", so to speak) named KA-50 with a new string named path in it. Have a look at the attached pictures, i hope this shows better what i mean. Hope it helps, Madog

acemark Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Hello. I am having a problem running E.M.C. with BS2 and Helios. When I start BS The Shkval,Ekran and Abris are not displayed on their monitors. If I turn off helios then they work. This is the case for all the prolifes that I make . I have 1 old profile [ made before EMC installed] that works. I did have to reset the monitors first, to suite the new resolution that I am now trying to use. What Im trying to do ; Was running BS2 with Helios , But no Ekran . I manually edited the Lua. files. Worked fine. Now replaced 12" monitor with 17" monitor to proved room for the ekran. Reason why old profile is no good. Only 2 of 4 inputs are showing in Helios profile editor. In the add interface list they are not present. Any help would be very nice Thanks Mark. Need-To-Know Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Can EMC run both Beta and non beta versions? I currently have it working great in the non beta but want to try it in the new beta. Do I have to "Restore" the non beta files in order to repoint it to the beta? Fight to fly, fly to fight, fight to win. Callsign: Need Shu-Ha-Ri
Need-To-Know Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 is there a way to aim the easy monitor configurator to the beta directory? Did you ever figure this out? I haven't. Fight to fly, fly to fight, fight to win. Callsign: Need Shu-Ha-Ri

wazp Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 what is the Hkey and path supposed to point to? I don't have an A10c folder under DCS world" I have one in: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\A-10C It's not on the filesystem itself, it's in the registry (regedit.exe) you should have folders under DCS World, and in those add a path key with the value of the path under Mods\aircrafts\[name of module] Be careful when editing the registry though! Be sure to double check that you are adding stuff to the correct path in the registry.
Berndt Mangler Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Thank you for your quick input. I sent this in the Wee hour of my night, (never text when your drunk), nor post when your sleepy..hahha.. OK, before you read on, I’m still in 1.2.7 for now, so hold off on answers for now, I was able to position my MFCD’s manually and all is well now. I’ll post here how 1.2.8 treats EMC. I only continued below in the even someone else has issues, or if 1.2.8 gives me the same, I can just pick up from here. I continue to see no A10c tab in EMC. You might spare yourself the reading unless someone else needs it. Or if someone see’s something similar in newer versions. But I’m still using 1.2.7 till I know all my systems are running optimally as they did before. I suspect when I make that plunge to 1.2.8, EMC will likely work fine. What I’d rather have said was…. This is my entry, the Path through the registery takes me to: “H HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World” In post 203 His Path goes to: “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\A-10C” His “Registry Path=”: C:\\Program Files\\Eagle Dynamics\\DCS World\\Mods\\aircrafts\\A-10C I can change both the HKEY, and the “Path”, To look just like: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\A-10C] "Path"="C:\\Program Files\\Eagle Dynamics\\DCS World\\Mods\\aircrafts\\A-10C I interpret description as the HKEY entry has an \A-10C] as a registry folder. The description suggests I edit the registry “path=”. That is found in the above folder. What I wanted to say is, I don’t have the \A-10C registry folder, but I have the DCS world folder, with these values. This is my registry entry to be edited: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World] "Path"="C:\\Program Files\\Eagle Dynamics\\DCS World" "Version"="1.2.7.23097" "Language"="EN" This < \\DCS World\\Mods\\aircrafts\\A-10C > added to the end of my Path, allows EMC to show me my LUA file to be edited, however pressing to add LUA files to DCS world does nothing, and I have no Tab for A10c to select the LMFCD nor RMFCD, nor all the others. Perhaps ED rolled this in and I don’t know it yet…????...wink..wink… [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] MoBo: SaberTooth P67 B3 CPU: i7 2600K OC'd 4.434 Cooling: H100, Nine Asorted Fans GPU: EVGA Drvr344.75 GTX 780 and 580 w/physX MEM: Patriot Viper Xtrm 16GB Power: Antec HGC-900 HRD: Samsung SSD 256GB, WD 2TB wPageFile OS: Win7pro 64b Display: AcerHN274H-nVidia3D 27", Qty2 BenQ GW2750HM 27", Asus VS208 24", Qty2 Lilliput U80/c Input: G13, G110, G700s, TM WortHog, Saitek Cmbt Rudder, TM MFCDs, TrackIR5 Sound: Z906, G930w/IR5/Pwr. G00dnight Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 look for monitorconfig in DRIVE/Steamlibrary/steamapps/common/GAME NAME. point the registry entry to that file. I do not have dcs on steam but I do have a few steam games that use this file for mods etc. AMD A8-5600K @ 4GHz, Radeon 7970 6Gig, 16 Gig Ram, Win 10 , 250 gig SSD, 40" Screen + 22 inch below, Track Ir, TMWH, Saitek combat pedals & a loose nut behind the stick
i3dman Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 why oh why did i update to 1.2.8?????? - nothing works now. FML
G00dnight Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 i3dman more info needed. it works fine on mine. AMD A8-5600K @ 4GHz, Radeon 7970 6Gig, 16 Gig Ram, Win 10 , 250 gig SSD, 40" Screen + 22 inch below, Track Ir, TMWH, Saitek combat pedals & a loose nut behind the stick
i3dman Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 directly after the update the outputs did not work.. this i expected. After replacing the MFCD folder only to see if i would get them on my second screen, I got nothing. The only thing that changed is the MFCD's both disappeared in the virtual cockpit.
i3dman Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 after starting from scratch I was able to get full functionality back. not sure what i did previously , but it does work in 1.2.8
TonyStovepipe Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 (edited) Could anyone help me please. I have 2 monitors 19x20-1080 each and I would like the left and right mfd's on the second monitor. Does this tool do that for me ? as it does not seem detect my other monitor and I can move the mfds and other bits on the main screen. Thanks for any help. (update) Looks like I sorted the problem I had, I did not setup the LUA file correctly. Cheers. Edited May 11, 2014 by gothicghost
FLEXCopMNPD Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Awesome program but I am not able to get any exports from DCS. I had my MFDs exported to the second monitor but could never figure out how to export the other gauges. The areas where I resized the windows to nest them in my helios screen on my second monitor are just black now. Not sure what I did wrong. Is there something in the game options I need to check or select? I made sure to choose the .lua that EMC created and made sure full screen was unchecked. Not sure what else to do.
TonyStovepipe Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 (edited) I am not 100% sure but double check full screen mode off on DCS as helios needs to run in windows I think. I am just resetting my monitor and stuff after a long break so a lot to learn again lol Edited May 12, 2014 by gothicghost
