Ozz13
I'm having a difficult time with switches. During training he'll tell me to put it on a certain frequency and the only way I can tell that it's in the right position is by clicking once, waiting to see if the training continues, if not..click again, wait. The labeling is too small. I'm fairly certain there has to be different views as at one point he said "The switch is hidden under the throttle so you may have to shift your view position.." How do you shift a view position? thanks for any help
bluepilot76
HI Ozz, I guess there are some keys you can "map" to move the pilots head up and down, left and right, backward and forward, same as in FS2004 / FSX. It Would be a good use of the numeric keyboard. Anyway I think the real answer is "Track IR". Have a look at how it works in Youtube, It basically makes your simulation turn into Virtual Reality!. Worth every penny and will transform your experience. Get the latest one with a Track Clip Pro. Its better. Technical Specs: Asus G73JW gaming laptop... i7-740QM 1.73GHz ... EtherealN
If you do not have TrackIR, you can use LAlt+C to initiate mouse view. Middle mouse can then be used to move your head around. You can also zoom in with numpad *, and then reset zoom with numpad Return/Enter. Ozz13
I've been thinking about getting TrackIR for a while, or the free generic equivelent that uses only a webcam and is freeware. I believe the "numpad * is what I'm looking for. Thanks :D
Scratchy
Along with the posts above, a method I use sometimes is RCtrl+Numpad 0. [Forgive me, but I don't know what this is called.] Once in this mode, the 1 through 9 numpad keys focus your view onto certain areas of the cockpit. For example Numpad 4 focuses on the left MFCD. To exit this mode, press Numpad 0. Blackshark has this too...very handy when you want to study your TAD or CDU. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Intel i7-8700K @4.9Ghz | 32Gb memory DDR4 | Evga GTX 1080ti | Saitek Eclipse keyboard | Logitech Mx518 | CH Fighterstick, Pro Throttle/Pedales | TIr5 | Win10 x64 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
