emtguf
has anyone built a CDU for halios yet? I just started messing with this software the other day, and would really like to get the CDU more than anything in it. I figure it will be much easier to click rather than fumble around in the 3d cockpit.
power5
Havent checked the scs site in a while but there was a CDU with out a screen replicator a long time ago. No idea if they ever got a screen replicator to work or not. You need to buy gauge packs for it or you will not have any of the CDU buttons or textures. You can make your own though by using the standard buttons and doing all the binding yourself. I think the gauge packs are $19.99. redtail
for the life of me, I wish someone could tell me why helios doesn't work well with a mouse on a non-touchscreen monitor! I have a 4 monitor setup....DCS A-10 running on 3 via TH2Go and helios on the 4th. Anytime I move the mouse to the 4th monitor to interact with the helios screens, it switches off autopilot controls and it also disables my HOTAS controls so the jet is no longer controllable until I put the mouse back over one of the main 3 monitors! Tried to get an answer over in the Helios forums but that was useless :( ....someday I'll probably get a touchscreen but no time soon :) ~Redtail~ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
majapahit
.. Anytime I move the mouse to the 4th monitor to interact with the helios screens, .. it switches off autopilot controls and it also disables my HOTAS controls so the jet is no longer controllable until I put the mouse back over one of the main 3 monitors! newbie, but figured out some parts of helios Helios buttons all have a default 'state' (1,2,3 - up middle down etc) load your - found? - profile in the editor and make sure the profile is in 'fly mode' when you use load/start it in air (I do) save, and now your buttons states dont switch when activating the profile (that's alll that 'clicking' sounds you hear, Reset also puts all buttons back in the profile's definition! click click click) .. f.i., your profile AAP (AP) buttons must all be in 'one' position .. when you load the profile / your loaded profile, & you are airborn so, theoretically, you want 2 versions of a profile (I dont), 1. an 'off' state for startup, 2. a 'ready to fly' state when starting in the air (on the ground, you can of course do a buttons check) P.S. .. I also change other people's profiles from 'swipe' (mouse swipe) buttons to 'touch' (mouseclick), way easier (no L/R mouse button, but L/R of button click spots) btw. you can do all editing of profiles 'on the fly', pause sim, alt-tab, stop profile, edit profile, save profile, load&start profile, alt-tab, unpause DCS (and having installed 6GB finally pays! :smilewink:, because a win7 x64 system, needs just slightly more than 4GB, swap swap swap) 2cts Edited April 28, 2011 by majapahit | VR goggles | Autopilot panel | Headtracker | TM HOTAS | G920 HOTAS | MS FFB 2 | Throttle Quadrants | 8600K | GTX 1080 | 64GB RAM| Win 10 x64 | Voicerecognition | 50" UHD TV monitor | 40" 1080p TV monitor | 2x 24" 1080p side monitors | 24" 1080p touchscreen |

Great! there are a couple of CDU's around <paulrkiii> posted his profiles in the helios download section (I myself used Hawgtouch textures to create my CDU) copy paste his to a 2nd instance of the editor (have DCSA10 interface LOADED) and meanwhile, edit the background <panel>.pnf in photoshop to cut a hole (transprency) in the .png (save with a seperate transparent layer to your own .png) now you have a proper 'hole' in the CDU exchange the non-viewport .png with your .png & use the just released 'Easy_Monitor_Configurator.exe' to port the CDU lcd to your 'hole' (if you dont know how the profile editor works, be very careful not to f*k up a profile, do the bare minimum, find the Panel, find the Background inmage, point the background image to your newly crated CDU panel .png with a hole .. save.) et voila, working CDU on your 2nd monitor/laptop (LCD cannot be ported over network, but button clicks can) | VR goggles | Autopilot panel | Headtracker | TM HOTAS | G920 HOTAS | MS FFB 2 | Throttle Quadrants | 8600K | GTX 1080 | 64GB RAM| Win 10 x64 | Voicerecognition | 50" UHD TV monitor | 40" 1080p TV monitor | 2x 24" 1080p side monitors | 24" 1080p touchscreen |
emtguf
I got paulrkiii's from teh download section. I edited the cdu image and the chaff flare image so I could export their outputs from in game. Looks great and works even better. Now I need to get a few more monitors so I can get the whole cockpit setup. Thanks for the pointers

Anti-Skid changed .. (Current position of this switch.) .. .. >>>EAC changed (Current position of this switch.) DRAG this to the right column to to >>>set position: (Current position of the switch.) and will ADD CONDITION: >> X to trigger value when Autopilot EAC on DCS A10C changes and 1 column further explains the Trigger Value, can be 1or2 on/off & will change button to that found state when panel initiallizes .. How do you change from 'swipe' to 'touch'? i missed that it's the TOUCH/Click type: touch/swipe box P.S. This is off the top of my head, I havent checked if it actually works (I do not have a LAST panel). Helios is a WIP and some things might not work, or I got it wrong, but this is the general drift as far as i know Edited April 29, 2011 by majapahit | VR goggles | Autopilot panel | Headtracker | TM HOTAS | G920 HOTAS | MS FFB 2 | Throttle Quadrants | 8600K | GTX 1080 | 64GB RAM| Win 10 x64 | Voicerecognition | 50" UHD TV monitor | 40" 1080p TV monitor | 2x 24" 1080p side monitors | 24" 1080p touchscreen |

redtail
thanks maja but it still didn't work. for some reason whenever I move the mouse off of the main monitors and point to the helios monitor i lose stick and throttle input and switches flip states. I even edited the profile to make switches 'touch' not swipe. ~Redtail~ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
