EtherealN
win 7 64 ultimate, is there better option? Depends on your definition of "better". Given your system configuration I would actually have labelled Win7 Home Premium 64 as "better", unless you are specifically making use of functions such as filesystem encryption, XP mode (in which case Professional version is good), or bitlocker, booting from virtual drives, having 192GB RAM etcetera... Ultimate is "better" in that it has absolutely all features - but this can unfortunately make your system slightly slower for no use if you don't use those functions. (And if you don't use them you might as well get a cheaper version - they all have the same core functionality). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_7_editions#Comparison_chart Always an interesting question for a thread in the hardware section if people are interested. :) 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
Villain
Well it seems a-10c works better in 64 bit i got numerous crashes in 32 bit up until today when i changed to 64. Used to crash due to anything from firing a maverick to checking the map but just flew in the campaign for well over an hour and didnt crash at all (unless you count my crash landing) :)

I'm glad you're stable, Villain.

Santini
At the moment I'm running 32-bit Vista, but I'm switching to Win 7 64. Just wondering if I should run a duel boot system, is it necessary? I've heard x64 has some problems with older games? The game runs well but I get an occassional crash, which I think is due to Vista. Any suggestions. Thanks in advance to anyone kind enough to offer an opinion.
