Which simulator? You are currently in the Lock On section, and neither Lock On nor Flaming Cliffs is available on Steam. Is it A-10C or Ka-50 you are using?

If A-10C, see my signature for the 32-bit system link. Some more items in the FAQ.

Also, try disabling Catalyst AI.

Out of curiosity which simulator did you buy? I wasn't aware Lock On was on Stream - maybe you meant DCS warthog perhaps? (If so see my sig for some hints)

Nate

No worries mate, I've moved the thread over to the appropriate section.

You can also take a look to see if you have the latest Dx9. Dx11 and Dx9 live side-by-side and are separate rendering paths, so having a "good" Dx11 does not necessarily mean you have a good Dx9 setup. Though IMO if that is the issue then it should cause a crash, not corruption, but still worth looking at: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=3b170b25-abab-4bc3-ae91-50ceb6d8fa8d

Have you tried the 32bit tweak?

Nate

Yes I opened CMD prompt and type exactly what you had on the one you posted , And I received a msg saying 'bcedit ' is not recognized as an internal or external command , operable program or batch file .

I turned off UAC before doing this ...

I think I might have to go to the forums at steam to find a anwser I think it might be because im running a ver of the game i downloaded from them , I even tried to find the progam files for the game on my HDD's in program files and everywhere else in my system but I cant find any of it any where

Maybe they can help me get it working , Thanx very much for the help you guys have provided It's much appreciated ...

Cheers

No expert here but I have never run into a problem with a Steam game that I could positively point to the issue as Steam being the source. In my experience they are unmodified products with a Steams wrapper.

I can perhaps at least shed some light on where your program files are located. Try C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common unless you installed Steam in another location. I would also imagine that the "(x86)" might not be in the path since you said you had Win 7-32bit (I have never seen it myself).

Not much help I know.

Try typing BCDedit instead of "BCedit".

Also, try opeing up your Steam games library, right clicking on A-10C and going to properties, local files, then clicking on the button that says "Very Integrity of Game Cache". If a Steam install gets corrupted, this checks the file for any errors and then applies the requisite fixes.

Oh, and FYI Nate, FC2 has been on Steam for quite some time now. The only issue with that is one would still need the original LOMAC to play

Just looking at your system specs MAGOzstoner, 8gb RAM on a 32bit OS? a shame, since you're only going to be able to use 3.25gb of it....

Anyhow, the 3GB switch *should* work for you, double check with the image below:

bcdedit.jpg

if you follow that exactly, you should have some luck getting A-10C to work :)
