pollock56th
I call this my little escape pod from reality! Since the 2 aircrafts i fly exlusively are the P47 and now the A10C, I figure it is properly labeled. I am a newbie to DCS A10 but have been playing Aces High for 12 years. My simulator consists of a modified http://www.kwikpit.com and a chair that slides on a bookshelf I found in the basement. I plan on someday building something that looks cleaner, but right now I do not have the spare time or skills to add to it. the center stick mount is from my fighter systems HOTASS I bought like 10 years ago. I made a custom trim control panel last year using a bodnar board but have since removed it instead using the warthog to control trim. Future control panels are to be used with the bodnar board to modify this for DCSA10. Specs. pollock56th
Nicely done! What do you use as seat ? Non 16:9 monitors also helps, no squashed view. I picked up a racing seat on clearance from a racing shop for 75 bucks. The mount for the seat is a bookshelf laying face down. I know that sounds ridiculous but its working for the short term. I wear around 180 so for now its holding me. It really is rigid and disperses weight quite nicely. Specs. pollock56th
a 4th monitor ? After seeing some of the pits here I wonder if adding a second vid card with a 4th monitor is doable. I have a 19 or a 24 available, if i could use helios and mount the monitor where keyboard is. Specs. pollock56th
Very nice!!:thumbup: What are you using for the MFD monitors? I tried some 7inch usb lcds but they crashed my system ans didnt work, I am finding through the threads that using external monitors for mfds is not possible with eyefinity. So right now i am using nothing. Specs. pollock56th
Didnt know the P-47 had MFDs, no wonder the allies won the war ;) Nice setup though :) Shhhh it was recently leaked out by Gov Jesse Ventura on his show. The P47 Thunderbolt is what I fly when I play Aces High and have been playing for the last decade. I should post pics of the pit when it was geared up to play it. It looked similar but with saitek and ch gear. I still play aces high for more of a dogfighting experience. DCS A10 is a total simulation experience. i havent even finished the tutorials yet:pilotfly: Specs.
