2 months? After 2-3 weeks waiting I would have already resigned from buying. You've got patience, no doubt :]

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

You need this patience if you want to learn to fly the hog.

I already knew that the flightgear would be shipped in june, but I didn't think it would be shipped on 31th of may!

Now I know what I will have to do for the next few days.

well, i cant enter the link, it says "Die aufrufende URL ist ungültig. Weiter zur WEB.DE Homepage" wich i have no idea what means.

that happens if i click your link, wich is actually https://freemailng0305.web.de/jump.htm?goto=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.obutto.eu%2Fshop%2Findex.php%3Froute%3Daccount%2Finvoice%26order_id%3D701

but if i copy paste the address directly, http://www.obutto.eu/shop/index.php?route=account/invoice&order_id=701 it asks me to login, and i don't have your login, so...

and I didn't mean it was unsafe for someone to click the link, I meant I wouldn't post my order ID from a website... but you can do whatever you want

anyways, whats it that you bought? can you please post the product page?

Im jealous of you Impact - Im currently saving up enough cash to build a PC and after that I'll be saving up for an Obutto pit. Hope you enjoy the hell out of it!

Definitely worth the wait!

The only thing lacking seems the warthog stick.

Cant wait till tuesday. Today I already moved my furniture around, and now I have this empty space where something seems to be missing :)

And tomorrow I get my new 32 inch hdtv.... Is yours 32 inch too? Cant wait to play ARMA2, Dirt3, and DCS A10C. I didnt fly an A10c since i read issues about getting carpal tunnel syndrome when you fly with the sticks on a desk.

Highly doubt it, there's thousand's of people using flight sims whit there HOTAS on a desk and i never hearth something like that happening, did you?

So unless your desk is way to high or your seat is way to low, your safe.

I just read it on this thread, http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=72122&highlight=carpal+tunnel+syndrome

I got so scared I convinced myself to get an obutto.

Yes it's a 32". In my opinion, it's not lacking for a Warthog HOTAS. ;) The one I have, still goin' strong 6+ years now :D

Thrustmaster equals quality right? :)

Yesterday, my LG 32 inch hdtv arrived, including a wall bracket for installation. Cant test it though, the HDMI cables didnt arrive yet.

I hope to be getting an Obutto cockpit in the next few months, what model LG tv did you get? I'd be interested to hear what the quality is like compared to a smaller standard LCD monitor as I hooked my PC up temporarily to my 42" Sharp LCD downstairs and was not overly impressed by the quality but maybe I needed to spend time tweaking it for PC use.

The problem with 42 inches is that its still the same resolution of 1920x1080. Also the Obutto can only hold small sized monitors by itself, if you want a bigger display you also have to buy a wall bracket. But that depends on the display.

I have read through some comments on the LG 32LD420, and some use it as monitor for the PC, without problems. On tuesday I may post some pictures and opinions. When I am not too busy :)

Yeah true, Ruggbutt has a 42" LCD mounted to his Obutto using a wall bracket bolted to the existing monitor frame IIRC. I was a little concerned that the monitor may be too far away on the Obutto as I currently use a 24" widescreen LCD but where I have my seat and racing wheel now is pretty much how far away I would be in the Obutto I think looking at the pictures online. Nice TV by the way, thanks for posting the model.

Bear in mind the Obutto hardpoints for the seat and frame can be in two different places to gain a little extra distance forward or back, and as I'm sure you've seen, the chair is also on rails like a car seat is, so you can raise the lever in the front and shunt it forward or back to suit too.

I tend to use mine all the time on the furthest back settings anyway, with 27" monitors, so I wouldn't worry too much about 24's and with the extra distance you can slide the seat forward to accomodate.

It has finally arrived, but I didn't build it up completely yet, as the HDMI cables didnt arrive yet. The only thing missing right now. Should have bought locally.

If you buy the 32 inch LCD HDTV, you dont even need a wall bracket! The four holes fit into the obutto mount. 32 inch seems to be just the right size.

Unpackaging took very long, everything is put in bubblewrap tightly. Building the cockpit itself was a matter of arranging and tightening 20 screws.

On the weekend I will post some pictures.

Yeah the bubblewrap was a bit insane :) Took a while wiping down the metal frames too as they're a bit oily (for sea travel protection).

Now I will share some pictures:

This is the place where I will build up the Obutto. I never had a corner as empty as this in my appartment. Something seems to be missing...

IMG_0135.JPG

OH BOY!!! The Obutto finally arrived after 3 months of waiting!

IMG_0136.JPG

Now that unwrapping was exhausting. The seat looks very comfortable, and very communistic! All hail the MiG 28!

IMG_0137.JPG

That was easier and more fun than the unwrapping. Too bad I don't have much time to fly at the moment.

IMG_0138.JPG

Thats how it looks like when I am behind your six and try to cut of your wing with my 7 barrel 30mm cannon.

I will eventually put the stick where it belongs in the future.
