kingneptune117
Hey all, I saw the thread saying how in order to enable the EAC, you have to do something with hars and the egi. I dont know what hars is, can anyone explain that to me? Is it a button in the cockpit or something? Also, when exactly am I supposed to flip the EGI switch in this new procedure? Thanks! VMFA117_Poko
Page 13th of that quick start: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1003873&postcount=1 Note that before "Step 30", when flashing INS NAV RDY in CDU, you have to press OSB 9 first to switch to the navigation Mode. After that "step 30" VVI will show up on HUD and you will be able to arm EAC. Edited June 4, 2011 by Poko24
WarriorX
A quick search of the Flight Manual for "HARS" brings up pages 109, 116, that are relevant. From my dedicated thread on the subject: "As you all know, 1.1.0.8 is introducing the HARS correctly being the default Navigation Mode when doing a ramp start. It was EGI mode previously. With the HARS mode active, you will not get any FPM/VVI in the HUD, and you will not be able to arm the EAC. If you switch from HARS mode to EGI mode after complete INS Alignment, then the FPM/VVI returns, and you can arm the EAC." [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] "Is that you John Wayne?.......Is this me?" Shez
HARS is what the A10A used. The A10C uses EGI. HARS is now the back up system incase you lose EGI. The buttons to chose are in front of the Stick. Easy to see if you are using Head Tracking Software. After you do a full allignment change from HARS to EGI and then you can engage EAC and get your FPM Velocity Vector back. Just another button to push during the start up procedures. _:Windows 10 64 Bit, I7 3770 3.4Ghz, 16 Gigs Ram, GTX 960, TM Warthog, Track IR 5 w/Pro Clip:_
dbeaty
I just replayed the start up training mission in 1.1.0.8 and I noticed the instructions to push the arm EAC switch don't work until I disengage HARS and select EGI on the front panel, then I can arm EAC. But the instructor never mentions that in the patched version of the sim. Perhaps I did something wrong though? TonyP
The training mission unfortunately wasn't updated in v1.1.0.8! Can we assume that the Training Missions will be in "sync" when the next update patch arrives, and whatever else is updated in the next patch is also being updated in the Training Missions. I'm kinda a newbie and need that extra hand-holding that the training missions provide. Or is it don't assume anything? :D

I really hope it'll all be fixed! 1338 - beyond leet ED Forum rules EN|DE|RU
