Hey everyone,

I am still having problems viewing recorded tracks in game. All other birds act normal, but the a/c I used does not complete a full startup and just sits on the tarmac. Any tricks to the trade? Multiplayer track, I was hosting the server.

Possible Issue:

I am using HELIOS and dual screens. During the replay I can see the mouse going between both screens as I did in game to turn on stuff etc. However, I believe the game is not picking up the Helios inputs during the replay and replicating them as they happened in real time.

I tried a very simple track, less than 5 min., airstart, fly 10 or so miles drop a CBU-105, watch it blow up and exit. Watched the track from the external view, even glanced in the pit to see the hud and tgp on target but no bomb ever dropped.:(

This is a clean full 1.1.0.8 install on a clean/new Win 7-64 install (the whole machine is new:)), Helios was installed but not running, and I was using TIR. Just one view on my main screen in fullscreen mode.

I have not tried but a couple short ones and one longer and so far I no noticable improvement.:music_whistling:

hey Ranger...it may be helios....when I fly without it my tracks play back fine....flew with it today and it was all messed up.

I did get a perfect track last night. DCS, TIR and Tacview but no Helios and this time it was perfect.

The only thing and I have not tested yet, is that this time I was watching the saved track. My other trials were watching right after the flight using the watch track option. Today I just ran the replay from last night and it was perfect down to my a## getting blown off.

Just FYI:huh:

Also having replay issues

I'm also having replay track issues where the replay doesn't seem to be replaying exactly what happened (missed bomb releases, odd aircraft directions). This is happening during single player loading up the Instant Action Georgia scenario.

I'm not running Helios either.

I am running a virtual monitor to place my MFDs so they get output to my iPadfor the TouchIR iPadPit program. So perhaps this isn't a Helios issue, but an issue with having two screens?

Same here. Full screen, no HELIOS. Sometimes the recorded mission is playing stuffs that didn't happen.

For example: takeoff, CAS, land.

Recorded mission, takeoff, CAS, crash :s

If you play with the time acceleration within the recorded mission, you're always gonna get incorrect events.

All my test are in Single Player. Clean 1.1.0.8 install.

That is what I am seeing at this point. I have had tracks replay perfect but I am still getting things like no weapon release or a crash that did not happen.

As for time, I have completely given up touching it. I have not gotten a single correct playback if I speed up at the beginning and then return to normal speed.

Track length does not seem to be a big factor since I am seeing these errors on tracks that are only five minutes long.

Did some checking today...same mission in full screen track played back perfectly. flew in windowed and track was completely wrong, had me taxi into the HAS in front of me.

When you were in windowed mode did you run Helios or leave it off?

Also, correct me if I am wrong, won't Helios itself work in full screen mode. It is just the exported viewports that you would not have?

In other words, if you only used a second monitor for Helios, Windows uses it but DCS does not, and Helios only contained switches and knobs could you still use it, albeit, slightly crippled?

No Helios and yes Helios works in fullscreen mode.

OK. Thanks. How in the h### would being in windowed mode affect the rocorded data?:(

I am having the same issue. Single monitor no helios or anything else. The beginning of the track plays fine then it fails to play back a JDAM drop and the plane continues on the original path. Then it starts selecting weapons and targeting things I never even did in the first place.

Nope, the problem still exists. I watched the solution cue drop and the bombs didn't, then it flew me into the ground. Watched again and this time the plane drifted out of solution and then flew into the ground.

In the original I dropped a ripple of 18 MK-82APOs and flew away.

Ten minutes long, full screen, no Helios...but, now that I recall, I did reconnect tacview.

they dont work. I have atm background my 2.5 hr mission cause I wanna record last part, but I can't speed up the replay, so it's background... playing with itself..

I'm lost because other tests I've done they work fine...very inconsistent results...

If you are lost then you have company. I just finished another trial. Similar run as before, short and simple, just a different loadout. Tacview still running, in fact I have recordings in Tacview of the bad playbacks.:(

This time it was a complete match. I was dropping another ripple of 18 Mk-82s and even the kills were the same.

I have no clue. These two tests today were almost identical flights.

The 'me' in game shows nice auto-AI - In my mission I took some targets out and then landed at Sukhumi.

When I watched the track, 'me' showed extraordinary uber AI, he left 2 targets unkilled (I killed all enemies) and he even contacted some other airport and called inbound, nice! Tho he then crashed to ground...
