TAIPAN_
We have a dedicated server with an ISP that we'd like to host DCS on. However it does not open. I suspect it's due to not having a proper 3D graphics card because it's a server. I know they will be releasing a proper dedicated server app soon, but in the meantime is there any workaround anybody knows of to get this working? Running it from home connection is very limiting due to home bandwidth, yet we have a 100mb backbone server sitting there hardly used only running ROF at the moment. I hope someone knows a trick to get past that, as all we need to tell it to do is host we don't need to load the cockpit and fly from it etc. Pimax Crystal VR & Simpit User | Ryzen CPU & Nvidia RTX GPU | Some of my mods
104th_Crunch
Can you not put a video card in it or is it just a 1U sapce or something? There is a file you can edit to shut off the 3D engine in A-10C, but it seems you still need a 3D card. See here. In FC2 and Ka-50 there is no such edit. In short, the answer seems to be a no. TAIPAN_
Ok thanks, I'll check that out. We have someone in Japan maybe he can host. They get 50MB upload on consumer connections there! We get max 1.5 in Australia.. Pimax Crystal VR & Simpit User | Ryzen CPU & Nvidia RTX GPU | Some of my mods

104th_Crunch
The posts that were made said that a dedicated server is in the works and on the list of things to do. No timeline set. Servman does a lot of nice things so make sure to use that for now.

Sleem
There are 1U rack servers that will take a gfx card, some will even take a dual slot card, but they are not cheap and would then need to be collocated. I haven't seen anywhere that leases this type of machine though unfortunately.
TAIPAN_
Yeah we're kind of already tied in with our existing server as it's hosting our Rise of Flight server. Tried the few tweaks but there's no way we can get it to run. Will just have to wait for the dedicated server app I think (whenever it gets released, soon I pray :)) Pimax Crystal VR & Simpit User | Ryzen CPU & Nvidia RTX GPU | Some of my mods
