combatace
Does anyone know how to increase number of parking spaces for helis on helicopter carrier ship? I mean in 3d model. I want to add this ship, its not my creation though. Its a Kiev-class aviation cruiser, meant for embarking Yak-38 VSTOL aircraft :) . Anyway, by "increasing number of parking spaces" I assume you mean whether you can get the game to accept additional AI controlled helicopters on the deck(?). If so I am pretty sure you can't - AFAIK deck routines are hardcoded. JJ

What I want to do is place all of them spread along the strip. Yes but thats what I meant by "deck routines" being hard coded - i.e. how and where aircraft and helicopters land and where they go afterward :) I don't know which ship entry you tried to edit, but even with the aircraft carriers(kuz and vinson) you cannot have multiple helicopters on the deck - IIRC the first two will land, but be removed(disappear) before the next land in the same spot. ostheim
I hope this gets released ive wanted to use this ship. Isnt there a variant the Soviet Navy had that had wires for the Mig-29K and Su-33 at one point?

No not of the Kiev-class - the last one(they had four) has been sold to India and is only now being modified(including addition of arrrestor system) for operating the MiG-29K. combatace
Whatever its history maybe but if I get to know how arrange helis in a row, it can be a better assault ship with not one but 2 cannons. Its not the history, number of guns or helicopters that determines whether a ship would be useful as an assault ship combatace - its the design. A typical assault ship has a "flat bottom" hull that allows it to go into shallow waters in support of amphibious operations, whereas actual aircraft carriers are built to provide optimal stability for their airwing out at sea.
