mouse not working - external views

I've been using the mouse to manipulate external views (eg F2) but since I upgraded my controllers I can no longer do this and have to use keyboard controls.

 

Does anybody have any suggestions on how I can get my mouse control back.

 

The mouse works fine in the cockpit, in the mission editor and in Windows generally.
