Wow, what a sim. My story so far: I purchased this game back when it first came out as a beta from a clip I saw on Reddit. I fell in love instantly. This is the most realistic sim I have ever played. Great job to the creators! I cannot wait to see what you come up with next.

Yesterday I was able to land this thing for the first time, and I did it twice. the first time I slid off the runway (why did I think "B" was for brakes?), the second time was a clean landing, but I did manage to blow the tires, BUT, I was on concrete!! Yeah!!!

I credit my new success to two things, first, the tutorial on how to set up a dual monitor system was/is invaluable. I finally got it to work and the ability to see the MFCD's on a separate screen add to the flight-ability of this sim, IMHO. The other factor is that I just built a new machine, I5 2500K, Asus MB, 6670 Video, and I got to tell you, the load times are dramatically decreased and there are no lags whatsoever that I can concentrate on the flying and not worry about the machine I am flying it on.

Thanks again for a great sim!!!

Good job bud! Your right.. this sim is the best. One tip i can suggest.. Learn the aircraft first.. Practice startup, and taxi and get a good checklist and use it everytime. Learn to fly, handle, and operate the aircraft before taking on the weapon systems.. You will thank yourself later.. Also practice your emergancy procedures and lots and lots of touch and goes.

Here is a link to the checklist and procedures i use.. thanks to Paulrkiii

Could you link that tutorial, I brought a second screen yesterday and now I'm trying to figure out how to put it to good use.

check here http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=138

And for helios here http://www.scsimulations.com/forum.php

If using helios there is a modman install for cap loz 1.33 profile plus you will need to do alittle editing but it works great with 0.9 at this link http://www.scsimulations.com/showthread.php?1434-Loz-1.33-Noob-question..-Is-it-me-or-the-patch-.09

Use helios.. if you want more than just mfcds..

Thanks for the advice. I have the startup, taxi, takeoff down pretty well. Got too frustrating to try anything else until I got the 2nd monitor working. I appreciate the link you provided. Lot of great info there. I did plan on "getting to know" and fly better, am now going to add air refueling to it as well. Then, I think I will be ready to join a squadron out there. BTW, used to be in the Air Force and was in the cockpit for a C141 6 ship refuel sortie. We were 3 of 6 i believe. To have that many planes that close was something else. Was able to get some great pics, but can no longer find them!! Rats!! Be well!!!

Trim the aircraft for landing speed (120~135 KIAS) and apply small adjustments to throttle and stick as needed. It should land it self in 0 wind condition when aligned ok.

Aviate - Navigate - Communicate
