Strange graphic glitch when on Runway

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

When I first bought DCS Blackshark, this glitch was not present. However, after I ran some tests in windowed mode and full screen mode, this strange rendering glitch appeared.

I was looking for BlackShark specific technical support forums, but did not see anything so I am posting here.

I took a screengrab of the rendering glitch and want to know if there is a way to fix this problem. I bought this game on Steam and already verified the game cache, this only happens when I'm near the ground in cockpit view. This will not happen in any other view.

Intel I7 QuadCore

Nvidia N580 GTX

8GB RAM

DirectX 11

Here is the screenshot, the line is very obvious:

All NVIDIA drivers are up to date and I am running at max settings. I have no issues with FPS, just this weird line that keeps showing up when I'm near the ground. Also my system is not overheating.

I don't recall if it is possible, but editing the values below rings a bell.

near_clip = 0.2;

middle_clip = 5;

Edit those values in appropriate section of Graphics.cfg (or GraphicsBS.cfg) (High, Medium or low depending on what you use.) in X:\DCS - Black Shark\Config

I seem to recall the near clip being the culprit.

Wow, so either I deal with the white line or have semi transparent mountains eh?

Well I'm going to try modifying the config file then. However, my default settings are already .2 and 5 on my system.

Unless I'm looking in the wrong directory?

D:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\dcs black shark\Config

when I click on graphics or graphicsbs it doesn't seem to update that I turned up the resolution to 1650 by 1080, just want to be sure I'm modifying the right file.
