636_Castle
This is pretty far off topic, but me and a friend of mine are discussing SEAL team uniforms and I was wondering if anyone could identify what exactly the uniform is depicted in THIS picture. I know it's a SEAL team uniform, I just can't seem to understand it. I've seen SEAL teams wear everything from BDUs, MARPAT, NWU, and this rare one. It's almost like an olive drab, but much, much darker. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] How To Fix Your X-52's Rudder!

AlphaOneSix
Yep like Booger says, it looks like an off the shelf nomex flight suit.
636_Castle
Really? It seemed darker, but I researched SEAL teams and the Nomex suit, and it adds up. Thanks guys. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] How To Fix Your X-52's Rudder!
Booger
It is a nomex flight suit. It's obviously not something specially made just for SEALS, as your post suggests. Most operators in the SOG community prefer it as an operation uniform over any other type for missions not requiring a traditional camouflage pattern. In the case of the picture you linked, they are conducting VBSS training. Nomex gloves (cut fingerless) are also preferred by many, although the heavy gloves you see in the picture are worn while fast-roping (rapid decent from a helicopter via a thick rope line...think Blackhawk Down).
