maxmax
There is probably an obvious answer to this. Sometimes weapons are white when selecting them in dsms and won't fire. Why is this and how can I correct it? Can happen to Mavs as well as CBUs. After a while they go green, but I haven't figured out the logic. What am I doing wrong? maxmax
Master arm on. At the moment I can drop 105s and gbus, but mavs stay white and dont show image in mav screen.

159th_Viper
Ensure Mav is SOI. CBU's need to align - once properly aligned, weapons-station will turn green. maxmax
Nevermind, mavs seem to work normally now. CBUs still go white and fail to drop sometimes. I'll save a track whenever it happens and post it. Maby I can get an explanation as to what I'm doing wrong. If it happens to mavs ill do the same. Thanks :) EDIT Yes, CBUS are aligned, mavs have timed 3 mins and SOI. This didnt happen before last patch not 1.1.1.1, so seems like a feature = me not knowing what I'm doing. EDIT again I align for drop a few miles out, line in the middle, the counter starts dropping until it says release. Long press. Then nothing. Sometimes, that is. ED Team Olgerd Posted December 19, 2011 ED Team Share Posted December 19, 2011 (edited) Ensure Mav is SOI. CBU's need to align - once properly aligned, weapons-station will turn green. All the above, in the absence of a track file, is just a wild guess. Viper you are correct in almost all guesses. The only case when Mav station can be white (given that Master is not SAFE) is the absence of a valid track. Just a small note to make things a bit more clear. Maverick is not needed to be SOI to fire. However to lock something it has to be controlled (i.e. made SOI). Once track is obtained, SOI can be transferred to any other sensor. It is the correct guess about CBU-103(-105) - white station means poor transfer alignment or a permanent failure (like ABORTED weapon due to quick pickle). Some maneuvering is needed to fix poor transfer alignment. And there is nothing to do to fix the aborted weapon. There is 15 seconds timeout exists for the second chance pickle, prior the permanent failure of the weapon. Edited December 19, 2011 by Olgerd 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] К чему стадам дары свободы? maxmax
I'll post a track as soon as I can reproduce it. I didn't think of saving one before as I thought it would be a simple case of pushing the right button.
Supersheep
Olgerd, the 15 second-timeout is a time window of 15 seconds starting right after the failed release in which one can try to "re-release" the bomb, correct? maxmax
Yes, all on. Seems Mavs are working normally now. Just me fumbling. The CBUs are still a mystery though. Of course they have been working normally now that I am trying to save a track.
Ramstein
once a weapons has been lageled as aboorted, is there a way to un-abort, and enable that weapon again? I have studfied how to use tese weapons, moslty the Mavs and J-Dams, yet I stil have problems, most with J-Dams, I get aboerts, and don't know why, or they wil not drop al the time.. and more.. I really, really need help.. I read and watch videos, yet stil have lots of problems... I thought I would be much better especially sicnce I flew the old A-10a a few years, the A-10C is very tempramental.. I am either stupid, or can't graps the full concept, even with a checklist I have to many problems.. I hope to get at least a 90% success rate, right now I am lucky to have a 10%... ASUS Strix Z790-H, i9-13900, WartHog HOTAS and MFG Crosswind G.Skill 64 GB Ram, 2TB SSD EVGA Nvidia RTX 2080-TI (trying to hang on for a bit longer) 55" Sony OLED TV, Oculus VR

They take a second or two to come off the rails. If you don't, they'll hang. It used to be possible to fix them if they hung, but I'm not sure it is after the recent patch. The relevant note is referenced below. The IAM Quick Pickle routine has been updated. After the first quick pickle, the user has a chance to pickle again. After a 15 second timeout, the bomb will become unusable and it will be impossible to ‘restore’ the bomb via the DTS UPLOAD function." RobbySpike
I sometimes got the same "problem" with the white mavericks. I can aim and fire them properly nevertheless, but "fastdraw" (selecting multiple mavs in the dsms) doesn't seem to work while white. Another cue that release happened is W symbol in the upper right corner. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] К чему стадам дары свободы? Их должно резать или стричь.
