-Ice
I was wondering if it were possible to set it up so that the JTAC always gives a "Type 1 in effect" scenario? What do I need to do to get this? - Ice
SmokeyTheLung
Placing the JTAC so he has a direct line of sight to the target should do it. You might want to make him invisible or immortal though, they tend to not last long with direct line of sight System specifications: Computer, joystick, DCS world, Beer
Jona33
They need to be close as well or there needs to be threat to other forces in the area. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
Daimaju
Place some invulnarable (not invisible!) blue troops near the red ones, so you get a "troops in contact" situation. when close enough (a few hundred meters) the JTAC will use type 1 for safety reasons to prevent blue on blue fire. Also if using a HMMWV or similar for JTAC when they're within range set ROE to weapons hold for the JTAC or there won't be anything for you to do. That .50's good. Always remember. -Ice
Thanks guys! I think I'm missing something for JTAC. I got enemies and I got troops in close vicinity, but there is no JTAC option once I fly the test mission. Do I have to do something to assign a JTAC a frequency or some such? - Ice
