Sory but i have to ask two noob questions. 1.Can i import models from dcs into 3ds max (i use 2020 version)? 2.Will model work if it is made with student version of 3ds max? But all my animations now show REFERENCE TARGET instead of ARG BASED POSITION/ROTATION. Even older files show the same... So yes tools and operation are the same but it is not the same after that. Any files made on the student version are encoded with a licence and property that it was created with a student version and anyone while using a Student copy exports an FBX file it too will inherit the property. If you try to sell or sent the file to someone it will alert and remind you every time that file is opened or used. If you do anything and charge for it even if it isn't DCS, Autodesk has ways of finding that out. NightIntruder Posted August 12, 2021 Share Posted August 12, 2021 I succesfully installed the ModelViewer2 to give a modding DCS a shot. I am using Win10 Home 64 and DCS 2.7.3. I tried installing the program both with AV on and off. I allowed the installation process to be excluded from the UAC as it was required. The results are: - the default ModelViewer2 in DCSWorld\bin folder won't run (no errors show up) - the standalone ModelViewer2 (both version 190322 and 190566) shows this error upon my attempts to open it: Code execution cannot continue because edDumpMonitor.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix the problem. There is no edDumpMonitor.dll anywhere in the EagleDynamics folder or in User\Saved Games\DCS folder. It worked fine before but now it just says export complete but outputs a 1KB file with no model in it. Has anyone had this issue? Running Blender 2.93. As a newbie that I still am I had the same problem (btw running on 2.93.5). It turned out that RenderType was 'none' instead of 'RenderNode'. I need to to review repaints, so I don't have to constantly start and close DCS. Standard one in the bin folder doesn't work.
