Skin modifier, set material to mesh all done but if i export to EDM i see this error: Error: Only 4 bones could affect vertex, now 5137 Node: CC_Base_Body. File: .build\x86_64\vc141.release\Utils\NGModel_MaxPlugins\2016\Exporter\Export.cpp:367. Error: Only 4 bones could affect vertex, now 204 Node: Shirt. mechatoine Posted March 2, 2021 Share Posted March 2, 2021 Hello, So I was delighted to see that we have now a way to legally use 3DS Max to create mods for DCS World with Max 2020 and Max 2021. I installed 3DS Max 2021 and installed the latest revision at the time (edm-plugins-181993) and it crashes the software instantly upon startup. I waited a day and installed today's newest plugin (edm-plugins-182072) and same, crashes upon startup. Installed Max 2020, thinking that maybe the latest 2021 was the issue. But nope, same exact problem. I'd really appreciate some help or insight on solving these issues. I've attached pictures of occurring crash for context. This happened to me once when I set Make Default for an argbased anim in the animation panel: 3ds was crashing instantly at startup. I've reinstalled 3ds and the plugin but finally the only way to make 3ds back to life was to manually remove the plugin files from 3ds plugin folder, restore the Make default to another anim type, and then reinstall the plugin... Relics Posted March 12, 2021 Share Posted March 12, 2021 (edited) For Any of you who are having trouble accessing the FTP server link with Google Chrome. Type in: chrome://flags/ It will look like this: https://imgur.com/a/yrsNBHh In the search bar on the Chrome Flags Tab search on the search bar "FTP". You'll see a setting pop up called "Enable support for FTP URLs". On the right click on the drop down and select "enable". Google Chrome will ask you to restart it.
