I just checked the official airshow site ( http://100letvvs.ru) and as far as I can tell from google translation, visitors can take free tickets (or invitations) at the entrance of the show. I sent some emails to some contact info's on the websites (probably I sent an email to commander of the air force, I dont know:), but did not receive any reply yet...

Don't worry. I'm sure that men in leather suits are on their way to you to deliver answer in person :megalol:

Seems, they decided to do it right.:)

I visited the show on Friday. Somehow I was able to get tickets (4 in total) for Friday and Sunday. Thinking that Sunday will be overcrowded, I visited Zhukovsky on Friday. Although some of the foreign teams (Turkish, Finnish, Italian) were not present on Friday, it was really amazing to see Russian teams and aircrafts.

I dont know if the statics were displayed more closely on Sunday but on Friday, there were some barriers between the spectators and the jet aircraft, which was not really pleasent for me, as I was hoping to see the aircrafts closely.

Another bad thing was the position of the spectators. I think that the visitors should have been placed on the SW side of the runway, because it was really difficult to take nice photos when the sun (light) was just behind the flying aircraft.

Other then that, organization and lojistics as very well planned...

That's always the case with Zhukovsky...I remember both 2007 and 2011 MAKS airshows where the sun fries straight into your eyes and lens. Professional photographers are usually located at the giant tower at the SW....

However today's cameras can be well adjusted for some really good looking photos in contralight...
