504MrWolf
yes you will lose your windows registy if you format your C: drive :) You will have to use a activation on the new install. www.VVS504.co.uk www.lockonskins.co.uk

504 Wolverine
What I usually do is to use registry utility first Before formatting your hard drive. Save the registry entry created by the utility to disc. Reformat your hard drive. Install windows, drivers, Lock-on then enter registry entry saved onto disc. Everything should be ok then without loosing an activation. If not you always have an activation to save yourself. :p [/url]

I have 40 gigs of hard drive and i partition them into two C: & D:,,,C: for the windows system (OS) and D: for games and other important files. I want to format only the C: because my OS is unstable this time.

Romik
Recently my fried who has a downloaded FC did format the HDD, did recreate partitions, did change the OS and there was no problems with activation save. May be we got lucky? :-) Athlon64 3500+; A8V-DX; 1Gig PC3200; Quadro4 980XGL; SCSI; Win2K3; MacBook Pro 17" X52 tweak: http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=16972
