Need a crackers help...

I put up MS Internet information server (yeah I know...) FTP only and some

prick tried to make my server a file share for warez.

He placed a folder on the root of my share

K02450\"blank"\null\aux0\lpt1\null\aux0\lpt1\tag by krolls83\

This caused a problem as to where win2k filemanger couldn't delete the

folders (at any level).

Even from two folder up from where this change started.

I have since (since it was a old and small drive) repartitioned the drive

and it's back up on running (ftp is off at this time)

Does anyone know how to correct this so I won't have to recreate the partition in case it happens again?

and yes.. I'm red faced on this....:icon_redf

Thanks,

Brett

You didn't password the FTP did you? It happened to the unpassworded part of our gameserver that we ran an FTP on. It took Soroc several days w/a special tool to remove that stuff. Sounds like your format "fixed" things.

Password your FTP server if you put it back up.

With Win2k or XP Pro you can via the security-tab take back ownership/change rights and delete afterward.

If this is not working then you can download an NTFS boot-diskette setup and delete NTFS-files via command prompt.
