Even in F-16's when the engine is out, the pilots stay in the jet as long as they can. I went to a crash site back in April 2007 I believe, where the jet took off and had a engine failure. They ejected about 3 miles from base in a open field. If the pilot would have ejected as soon as the engine failed, there was a good chance off hitting a house. I have a few pictures of that crash site back at home.

Totally right, I'd also say, that's a question of money, you can't crash a 60 millions dollars plane just because you think you're gonna crash, "oh damn the flight instruments are out?!! eject eject right now!!" (would be my case lol) because at the flight school, at least, in France, the instructor says :

"There are peoples which everyday in a goddamn factory, office or whatever to earn money and then pay government taxes, that's allow you to learn how to fly a plane and be paid once you have done your graduation. You can't mess with that.":worthy:

2nd bring on F22 and still Flankers can KICK u know what :D .... its just the mind games that they play that their jet is Stealthy but the truth is something else... remember Russian shot down the U-plane or whatever they call it. And the retirement of F-117 Stealth Fighter. Vice verse everything has a way around....

Cali....Oh Reality Check----> Check poll Status again <----

They merge my thread "Are Flankers Gone?" to this thread... hmmm but I don't understand why they mix with the old jets with modern ones... I started my thread for MODERN RUSSIAN Flanker JETS... may be so people get confused so the modern Russian jets don't get much polls and will not develop for DCS.

So, people my advice is to check the names on the net before you vote for the RIGHT MODERN RUSSIAN MILITARY JETS.

I don't understand what they are trying to do.... they are adding new US modern Jets for DCS WORLD and for Russian side they are mixing old aging ones the modern ones.

Let us see anyway.... I voted for Su27SM3 ...wanted to vote also for super agile Su35-BM.... but no multi vote supported.

I hope Su27SM3 can carry smart A/G weapons or it will be useless but I know for sure it will carry the new RVV-SD Air-to-Air (fire n forgot) missile.

Cali come on man.... see a lot of people agree with me.

Yeah, you are right :music_whistling:, maybe some people just don't like what you say, judging by the crimson color.

It was explained to you repeatedly in your thread prior to the merge.

I'll try again: there are big problems, legal problems, inherent to the modeling of russian military aircraft when you are a russian company.

I don't understand why threads got merged, either. One thread was about airplane wish list, and the other was questioning ED's approach toward development of Russian jets in general. But hey, who am I to question ED's forum policy. :)

On the other hand, I think that we will have to accept the possibility of uneasy legal position in which ED could find themselves if they try to disclose sensitive information.

So I don't think that we will ever get anything beyond 4th generation if we talk Russian planes.

However, and this is big ...

I don't want to see ED derogating Russian jets to BFM and simple avionics.

So, give us basic russian 4th generation SU27/MiG29/SU25T with all the bells and whistles in graphics, flight model and avionics department which US jets (A-10c in particular) already enjoy. Offset that with AFM, 6dof basic 4th generation F15/F16/A10c package and we are set!

Simple as that.

You will never see more than one AFM plane sold inside a full priced package. There is simply way too much research/development going into those.
