I always assumed that it did something different, like allowed my wingmen to be useful or something. So that explains why I don't get that annoying voice in multiplayer missions.. In any case, it will be pretty hard to tell the difference in certain situations. Probably early beta because I dont detect MAFM in those sidwinders. IIRC, I've read that some (or most?) of the AESA ones from Elmendorf were since moved to Kadena as there's a plan to have 54 of them stationed there. As I mentioned they seem to get toys first, but AESAs (along with other things, these are entire upgrade suites in this case, AFAIK) have been getting retrofitted to many eagles for a while now. It's an on-going upgrade. Its only my frustration over the DCS situation. Im glad that some f-15 pilots do see the point of working on both sides rather just one. That is what made this simulator stand out from others.
