mikethemadmonk
Ok, that's plain enough. Then do I start the game by clicking the world icon or using the icons for Black shark and A10 c ?
EtherealN
World. With DCS World, the aircraft have ceased to be independent program, they're all integrated into World. Having to start separate programs for them would defeat the whole point of DCS World. ;) 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester

159th_Viper
You are referring to these modules, yes? http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?end_pos=136&scr=products&lang=en You ran their .exe's, let them install automatically and now World will not start? cichlidfan
Ok, after three separate tries I cannot get DCS World to open after installing A-10C and Black shark into that folder. What versions of A-10 and BS2 are you installing. If you had to make it install into the World folder then it was probably the old versions. You need to install the modules designed for World. mikethemadmonk
Yes, I'm sure that is where I have erred, been trying to install Black Shark and then apply all the updates I had. However, Black shark original version is required for the 1.0.2 update, so do I install it into World and patch it there?
lokitexas
Yes, I'm sure that is where I have erred, been trying to install Black Shark and then apply all the updates I had. However, Black shark original version is required for the 1.0.2 update, so do I install it into World and patch it there? 1. Download and install DCS World http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?ProductId=21&end_pos=137&scr=product&lang=en 2. DL and install Black Shark2 if you have it http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=12&end_pos=136&lang=en 3. If you dont have Black Shark 2 and only have BS1, buy the upgrade, then DL and install http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=13&end_pos=136&lang=en (Note you need BS1 installed to use the BS2 upgrade. Once it is installed and active in DCS World, you may delete BS1). Hope that helps. i5 3570k @ 4.3 560ti GTX 2gig 8gig RAM Intel SSD Win7 64bit
mikethemadmonk
Yes, thanks. Have now retried and have successfully installed the World, A-10C and P51. I think this will do for now, as I never got the hang of flying that Shark. One last query, the P51 doesn't recognize my Warthog throttle and so no take off. It works perfectly in A-10C, rather odd. Any suggestions?
EtherealN
Not odd at all: the A-10C replica HOTAS from TM has an autoconfiguration for the A-10C aircraft module. It doesn't have one for the P-51D. (It's obvious how to configure for an aircraft it's a replica of, but for something like the P-51D it's personal taste.) Therefore, you have to assign axes in the axis commands section of the options screen. Jonay
Will this reinstall have to be done everytime DCS World is updated? Will BS1 work or does it have to be BS2?
159th_Viper
Will this reinstall have to be done everytime DCS World is updated? Only until the introduction of the Auto-Updater. Will BS1 work or does it have to be BS2? BS2 is a requirement. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Click me to commence your Journey of Pillage and Plunder!
