first A10 instant mission:

-Loading times of mission is a lot longer now

-once in the mission before I hit "fly" game stutters (TrackIR view) and after around 10 seconds it is ok

-once I hit fly and mission begins I have 10 seconds of 0-1 fps, then around 40 fps which seems good but I got micro stutters every couple of seconds

Just like here - unflyable.

There is change log which shows what files are replaced, I agree its not so usefull as there is no info what bug/features are changed.

As I see there are some changes in protect.exe files so maybe its fix for activations.

Doesn't seem so as after I installed 1.2.1 it updated on the first run and it says BS2 is not activated, despite 1.2.0 being activated before I uninstalled it.

Same here.

First 5 to 10 sec after mission start are a huge stutter like it is finishing loading last stuff but after that everything is ok now.

It went from 8 FPS with prev 1.2.1 to 30 FPS with this update and my max GPU memory used on DCS went from over 2GB on 1.2.1 to 1750MB like it was on 1.2.0.

-CBU explosions are at 7/8 FPS witch is no ideal but a bit better than before.

-New canon effects on groung are very nice with good performance so is ok.

-With hight textures I have 30 FPS looking down to terrain but some microstutters. With medium textures I have 26FPS but game is a lot more smooth. They aren't as sharp as high textures but with good anisotropic settings on nvidia control panel, this isn't a problem for me.

-Aircraft max speed that I reported here is still a lot lower than before.

-I also have this texture problem that I didn't have before patch 1.2.1.(this screenshot was made before this last update so I'm not sure if the problem is still there.

Overall, after this update, my game is as good as it was before patch. If other problems were corrected than I think it becomes a good patch. I've to test multiplayer bug.

Dear ED,

I never let programs automatically update anything on my computer - I let them notify me that an update is available but I manually have to choose when to install it. Gives me a chance to be pro-active with other settings, tweaks and avoid version conflicts. Please provide us with this option!!!

Signed,

A fan

P.S. Wouldn't want to open the game only to find a new version already installed without me saying "OK" (and/or not being able to connect to MP with because other people's versions didn't update) and then having broken mods to boot, too... Could happen, right?

a option should be available i agree,

manual notify or auto

I also have :-

a) 50% Longer loading times.

b) I cap my FPS at 35 using EVGA PrecisionX, generally im getting good solid stable FPS until someone drops a bomb that is !!.

c) Approx 10 seconds of stuttering/slow motion play on the initial starting of any A-10C mission (not just the instant action missions).

Have tried all the other instant action mission with BS2, P-51, SU-25T & CA and they don't appear to suffer from any initial starting stutters...

A better thread has opened with some answers... I will continue to follow along there.

It seems the change log feature for the auto updater is not implemented yet. Sounds like it is on the list of things to add.

I would load the modules and let it download from there. That way everything is the same version before the update.
