Removing Annoying Electric Noise

I've found when ever either of the batteries or AC Ground Power are switched on, there's a constant whining noise. Perhaps some people don't notice this when flying with all the other noises but I'm extremely sensitive to such sounds and still acutely aware of it most of the time, so I'd like to know how to mod it out if at all possible as it's driving me slightly mad!

Simply navigate to the sound folder, and find the corresponding file. Rename it, and bob's your uncle!

EDIT: Not exactly sure which specific sound you mean, but I found you some candidates.

Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts\Feeding.ogg might be it?

Cheers, I'll try that :)

OK, I tried feeding.ogg and it's not that. The only files named gyro I can see are in the P51 subfolder.

Nope, got lucky and found it though thanks, it was Avionics_AC_400Hz.wav. Lovely not having to listen to that any more ;)

If I were you my friend, I wouldn't rename or delete it.

I'd just edit the "Avionics_AC_400Hz.sdef" file (located in ".../Sounds/sdef/Aircrafts/Cockpits/") and decrease the "gain" value.

It seems 0.9 for me.

0.3 would be nice...

Cool, thanks. Didn't know I could do that. I guess if I just delete or rename it, it will be replaced when the auto-updater updates anyway :)

:D Right.

But, in case of any problem, I've attached it. You may download it.

See you...
