Crash in SP but MP works fine

Re-posting this here,

After the last update to .6241 the SP game will not launch, the status bar gets to 53% then the game crashes...

with each launch it leaves the launcher.exe process running, but you can not kill the process, it states "<Non-existent Process>".

 

Nothing else has changed,

just the auto update, strange thing is MP works fine....

I have exactly the same problem. It has something to do with ATI. Exactly with Atiumd6a.dll, that is a dll of video reproduction in the ATI graphic cards. MP rules OK. If I try DCS.exe without launcher my screen keeps black. In the task manager I can see the process as active, but I only can kill it.

there is anew version maybe your usser/*name*/files/saved games/dcsworld/ auto-update cache and auto-update.settings stopped working. delete those two files and force an update then try the SP again.

Nope same thing after the update,

 

Did a clean install again, issues resolved!

 

I hope this is not a pattern, i.e. auto update = crash

Then re-install to get it working again.

Have you unistalled first or have you installed over the installed version?

Have you deactivated something?

Have you used another activation in some module?

 

I have thought in reinstalling. Last time it was the solution but i spent one activation mor per module. :cry:
