Nybble
Hi all, Me and a few others were going for a general flight to practice keeping formation and such, and began to wonder what interesting sights may lie around the world. So far we have pretty much stuck around Batumi and the surrounding areas, and have decided to have a look in other sectors for some interesting sights. So I though it might a good idea to get a thread going where people can share interesting locations, we'll be sure to post whatever we stumble across, but if anyone knows of any good ones, such as large bridges, power plants or hidden airports, post away! MadTommy
There used to be a great mission in Flaming Cliffs with a flight plan that took in loads of good sights.. that would be worth digging up.. no idea what it was called now... might have to have a root around lockonfiles. i5-3570K @ 4.5 Ghz, Asus P8Z77-V, 8 GB DDR3, 1.5GB GTX 480 (EVGA, superclocked), SSD, 2 x 1680x1050, x-fi extreme music. SgtWorm
The Flaming Cliffs flight plan sounds interesting. Like Nybble I'd be keen on some coords for some sight seeing. Caught this in the Batumi carpark though.

ED Team JimMack Posted October 11, 2012 ED Team Share Posted October 11, 2012 Here is a fun sightseeing, which I often show at trade shows. Go to DZHVARI (GH43). Fly north across the lake. Then follow the valley with the river. The river splits into two, take either route. You then go to the top of the mountains, then fly down the streams on the other side. Challenge is to fly as low and as fast as possible. Be careful, too fast and you will not make the turn and auger into the side of the valley. Having problems? Ironhand
Those .mis files don't work.Unfortunately no, they don't. You can take the Crimean virtual tour, if you download the video--not that it'll do you any good in the current sim. I was going to do a virtual tour of the Caucasus as well but, to be honest, there weren't as many interesting things to see on the map at the time. I had actually started gathering video clips but ended up abandoning the project. Hard to make an industrial complex interesting. OTOH, for an A2A simulation, the Crimean map held a high number of historical and cultural structures and locations--Malakhov Hill, for instance. Someone had a great love of the region to have included it all. I wonder if someone working the current map had a similar love of the region. It'd be interesting to grab an encyclopedia and see if similar cultural and historical structures and places exist in the current map.
