Conure Posted October 14, 2012 Share Posted October 14, 2012 Hey all, Been away a while but reinstalled BS2 and A10 within DCS:W. At the start of some missions (e.g in BS2 the one where you assault a village, one of the stand alone missions) I get about 25fps which dips to 20fps with the TV Camera on. Is this normal for my system? Settings are 1920-1200, water low, heat blur off, scenes medium, 2xAA... Seems a bit low but maybe this is to be expected? Intel i7 6700k, Asus GTX1070, 16gb DDR4 @ 3200mhz, CH Fighterstick, CH Pro Throttle, CH Pro Rudder Pedals, Samsung Evo 850 SSD @ 500GB * 2, TrackIR 5 and 27" monitor running at 2560 * 1440, Windows 10. Hamblue Posted October 14, 2012 Share Posted October 14, 2012 Try going to Eagle dynamics menu under windows start and select Update DCS world. You may have to do it more than once. The initial 1.2.1 was very low on FPS but updates since have corrected it. Asus Sabertooth P67 Motherboard 2600k CPU, 16 gig DDR3, 1600. Prophet Posted October 14, 2012 Share Posted October 14, 2012 I would say your GPU is slightly underpowered as well as your CPU. I am running an i7 920 @ 3.6ghz and 2 GTX285 in SLI and thats about what I get. This game is just real demanding. FC2 I get over 100FPS. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I used to run it prior to World at more fps than this with a GTX 460 SE, so I think it's probably that I didn't update. "Normal"-setting today probably means what was "High"-setting one year ago. Deal with it. Nice plane on that gun... GriffonBR Posted October 14, 2012 Share Posted October 14, 2012 It´s not your GPU man, I had the same GPU (MSI GTX 660Ti OC Edition) as you have and I was able to get 60-45 FPS on DCS World, but I like to lock my FPS to 30 for a smoothe simulation, but after the last patch, my FPS dropped to 19. I have a i5 2500k@4.3ghz with 8gb 1600mhz. Trust me, your rig it´s not the problem. The problem is that ED wants to put a lot of features on a engine that dosen´t support multi thread. Let´s wait til' the next patch. Had the prob with BS2 refused to be activated/deactivated before that. And no chance in update 'world' to current!?
