Jimbosmith
hmm i can check, i have just launched the base DCS world without any modules and it ran fine, im just going to install the modules i have and retest. Fingers crossed, it stays fixed as i was able to run it last night without issues, but when i started today it broke again which is why i started this thread Il keep this thread upto date with whats happening but as of right now it seems ok, one thing i did do that was different was i installed driectx with the installer, it wasnt checked by default but that was the only thing i could think of during installation. Jimbosmith
could it have something to do with dcs changing the aero theme when launching the game, Can i disable this? ok i just recreated it 3times Right so i can launch DCS world fine, as soon as i try fly a mission or do anything where it requires the game to close and relaunch, my windows theme changes and it causes windows explorer to crash, which in turn stop me from doing anything on the pc causing a reboot. I have also tried a number of games and programmes and none are causing it to do it. Edited October 28, 2012 by Jimbosmith

Jimbosmith
ok so this is the only change i have made since my last reboot, and early signs say this has fixed the problem i was just able to load into a mission and the window explorer did not crash. Thanks for your help it seems to have fixed it, il make a post later on tonight once i have run a few mission just to keep you updated and it might help someone else if they have the problem.

bubbel
By changing the aero theme i had no problems loading the sim . But while flying it somtimes keeps rebooting whitin a short minute interval. After i changed the windows theme from windows 7 to windows classic the problem was solved. CanalGuna
Thanks for the help mates... At least now I can run the sim after those gross changes. Clearly it would be really nice to run the Sim straight in... will this be solved? or by easier means?
ENO
I've had this problem for awhile too now- Windows 7/64... went to the event viewer and nothing that I understand jumped out... -System -Provider[ Name] Service Control Manager[ Guid] {555908d1-a6d7-4695-8e1e-26931d2012f4}[ EventSourceName] Service Control Manager -EventID7036[ Qualifiers] 16384 Version0Level4Task0Opcode0Keywords0x8080000000000000-TimeCreated[ SystemTime] 2013-03-03T05:12:03.842347400Z EventRecordID190411Correlation-Execution[ ProcessID] 664[ ThreadID] 928 ChannelSystemComputerEno-PCSecurity -EventData param1Windows Error Reporting Serviceparam2stopped5700650072005300760063002F0031000000 Binary data: In Words 0000: 00650057 00530072 00630076 0031002F 0008: 0000 In Bytes 0000: 57 00 65 00 72 00 53 00 W.e.r.S. 0008: 76 00 63 00 2F 00 31 00 v.c./.1. 0010: 00 00 .. I'm going to try the windows classic thing (it's the server computer anyway) to fix it... anyone else have that problem with TeamViewer installed? I'm wondering if it's a DCS issue or a TV issue? Basically every time I log into the server- well, not every time but quite often- I see the task bar is all white and windows explorer is in a stopped working condition. Anyway- any further input on the matter would be appreciated if anyone else has found alternate solutions. "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret.
