Red.01
Hi all, Can someone explain how the radio system works ie how do i ask permission to land form the base? How to tell my wing man to attack or rejoin etc? I understand that the radio in the cockpit has buttons A-D and theres a mic switch on the throttle,But after I choose a channel and press the mic switch what then? Sorry if this has been covered before. Thanks in advance Red
leafer
I can never get ATC to respond to my start up, taxi or anything for that matter. So, I press the mic switch and hold it while hitting the appropriate F# button, right? ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

Sorry if this has been covered before. Thanks in advance Red You should use the easy comms to OFF. In the mission planner, check the icon on your plane tabs looking like antenna. there should be 4 buttons ABCD, each with MHz frequency. Click on your airfield, and see the tower frequency. make sure the same frequency is assigned to a button ABC or D. When saved, fly the mission, open the 2 battery and generator flickches, press the corresponding ATC frequency button (LCTRL + 1 A /2B/3C/4D) then press the tit on the throttle, keep holding it, and navigate the F menus, F5 ATC F1 Batumi F3 Request Startup. Once your side finishes with a radio whoosh, immediately remove your finger from the radio throttle tit. AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Lucky
I'm sorry but do I press the tit or hold it? Holding the tit is always preferable to pressing it. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Lian Li 011 Dynamic Evo, Core i9 11900K @ 5.0GHz, Corsair H150i CPU cooler, Asus Prime Z590-A, Radeon RX6800 XT64GB, Team T-Force Delta DDR4 3600, Corsair RM1000X PSU, Win 11 x64
leafer
Ahh. Thank, Lucky! No wonder I couldn't get any response from tower.
