Hi all,

Can someone explain how the radio system works

ie how do i ask permission to land form the base?

How to tell my wing man to attack or rejoin etc?

I understand that the radio in the cockpit has buttons A-D and theres a mic switch on the throttle,But after I choose a channel and press the mic switch what then?

Sorry if this has been covered before.

Thanks in advance

You should use the easy comms to OFF.

In the mission planner, check the icon on your plane tabs looking like antenna. there should be 4 buttons ABCD, each with MHz frequency. Click on your airfield, and see the tower frequency. make sure the same frequency is assigned to a button ABC or D. When saved, fly the mission, open the 2 battery and generator flickches, press the corresponding ATC frequency button (LCTRL + 1 A /2B/3C/4D)

then press the tit on the throttle, keep holding it, and navigate the F menus, F5 ATC F1 Batumi F3 Request Startup. Once your side finishes with a radio whoosh, immediately remove your finger from the radio throttle tit.

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

I'm sorry but do I press the tit or hold it?

Holding the tit is always preferable to pressing it.
