NECK Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Is there a way of finding out which shelter one is placed in when one start in a MP session? It would make it easier to navigate on the ground when you know where you are starting. St3v3f Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Press F10 to bring up the map, zoom in on your location and you can see where you are and where the taxiways are aka: Baron [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
nr1jc Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 F10 is not always on, so you could use the DCS manager app 1 [sIGPIC]www.vjokers.no[/sIGPIC]
MTFDarkEagle Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 DCS manager app ? http://bit.ly/RADMkU :) http://www.appbrain.com/app/dcs-manager/fr.yeepeekai.dcs.manager https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fr.yeepeekai.dcs.manager&hl=nl Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
NECK Posted November 5, 2012 Author Posted November 5, 2012 Yes, but using the F10 isnt realistic and as nrj1c states it is not always on. Regarding using the app, which is very good by the way, it doesnt help you unless you know where your start point is. Exorcet Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 For now F11 view can't be disabled. Other than that, ask for permission to taxi to get a general idea of where the runway is. With the high detail airports (Batumi, Sakumi, Senaki, etc) you should be able to follow the signs. BRooDJeRo Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Id say use F10 and put the map on sat view to see runwaynumbers and such. Im still wondering why this isnt set as default instead. As well as a a sat-view option in the missioneditor. A decent missionbuilder knows about these things and should keep these things in mind with his settings when hosting a public server. If not, then i think the builder is selfish or a twat that has trouble with tying his own shoes.
Gaanalma Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 If the creator of mission not specify the starting position of any aircraft, you cant know where you are if you dont use F10... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] www.36stormovirtuale.net
