New DCS World 1.2.2 ?

I have some question for DCS 1.2.2 and FC3

 

Improved landing dynamics.

Improved flight dynamics for air-to-air missiles.

Resource Manager that adds logistics control to missions.

Expanded theatre of operations map into eastern Georgia.

Countless other improvements in the areas of the mission editor, special effects, new models, improved terrain detail and AI.

 

That features has active only on FC3 or new features on DCS:W?

 

I assume Expanded theatre only have to FC2 > FC3 but Logistic control on missions not sure if are a new feature to DCS: 1.2.2

 

Resource Manager dont appears on DCS:W or FC3 manuals. That is operative or have a future document to use them?

 

Are landing and missile AFM some reference on the DCS:W manuals? what is the other features explains?

Best thing I ever did. Runs my installs twice as fast (loading times, less stutter etc etc ) and a noticeable improvement in framerates to boot, although that might just be the latest AMD drivers :)

when your autoupdater doesnt work, try this:create a shortcut (updater) on the desktop and target should look something like this

"C:\xxx\DCS World\bin\DCS_updater.exe" update

Autoupdater updated all my modules too, very nice. Download only took 15 minutes. Didn't have to wait 3 hours and fight through slow torrents or full FTP servers.

oh! Can u tell me pls which AMD drivers u are using for W8? I found 12.10 was a massive hog in games incl GTA4...with a lot of stuttering/micropauses.

 

I am currently on 12.11 beta and even that isn't as great as it is in windows 7.

Nope, 30 megabit , update doesn't replace everything only changed files. Can't tell what the transfer rate from update server is..

Mine hung around 2/3rds for about 10 minutes but I let it ride and it completed. Changed my export settings in network options back off and a couple of graphics settings but otherwise all looks normal. Testing out c0ffs master server list fix now! :)

I made a quick test on Black Shark 2 and looks like the data link bug has been fixed! Great! :thumbup: But now my pilot's texture is broken when he is visible on cockpit (first person view)... Can someone confirm it, please?

Update was smooth and without problems for me.

 

Oh and the updated Su-25T cockpit looks great, didn't expect any improvements in this area. What a nice surprise. :)

FC3 is great

 

Yeah , its a pleasure to be able to get to 40 thou so fast ..... and the terrain looks cool from up here .

 

Gotta figure out my world sound ..... I got a monster base woofer under my desk and the afterburner is putting creases in my track suit bottoms ..... plus Im waitin for the door bell to ring too !!!

 

I reckon the next ED DCS release will be F-15 C , they havent done all this for nothin .

DCSW 1.22 - Fire at point and animation issues

 

Issues with DCSW 1.22 still:

 

In Mission (DCSW 1.22.x):

 

• Fire at point command - Does nothing, vehicles, troops will not fire at target, same mission in BS2 1.1.1.1 works fine.
  
• Russian Infantry Soldiers - Always Kneeling when running, should have running animation whilst moving to target, and then kneel whilst firing at target.
  
• Russian Paratrooper AKS - No Weapons in their hands whilst they are running, gun shows up when they stop moving.
  

 

 

Mission Editor (DCSW 1.22.x):

 

• Fire at point - After saving the mission and re editing the waypoint with the command on it selected it doesn't show the radius of the fire point on the map.
  
• Fire at point - When creating a fire point why does it put the point marker so far away from the Waypoint mark, would be easier, if it just placed it near the current waypoint so it is easy to grab and move to your actual target.
  

 

 

Thanks ED for your general support, dedication and the miriad of other fixes that haven't been mentioned:

 

• All Artillery will now move with platoon
  
• Datalink - Now works (Quick test) - was a major killer for not playing
  
• I continue to look for other issues.

I have a10c only and after a short test really liked how it flys now, smoother.

 

Whats the mini hud option for in misc? i checked it and saw nothing different
