What I *do not* understand is: why is it not enough just to insert the old LockOn CD during LOFC installation (to check if I have the old LockOn version)? Why do I have to *install* LockOn first? I expect there is some sort of legal reason behind it - if I were to guess (I don't know the facts of these deals, so this is just a guess) it might be related to the fact that in legal/contractual terms Flaming Cliffs series is an expansion pack.
