Hi.

I am planning to make a mission where we have to destroy a particular building, but the building location will only revealed later in the mission. How do I get an AWACS or JTAC to report an Offset of a Bullseye in the editor?

Thanx

AWACS won't report buildings only airborne targets. JTACs report location in MGRS, they don't (and wouldn't IRL) use a bullseye offset.

As its a known position, use the ME map & ruler to work out its bearing and distance from the bullseye. Then either creat your own soundfile (using a sound recorder) or go into the DCS_World/Sounds/Speech/Sound/ENG/Common/AWACS and compose your own message (doing your own is much easier though).

Then in ME have a trigger, then use one of the many sound option actions available.

You used to have to make a correction if you are going to make you own bullseye call. As the mission editor bearing will not match the ingame bearing. If i remember correctly this was to do with true north offset. I'm not sure if this has been corrected. I think it was 6 degrees different. Do a search...

But i would not suggest you use a bulls offset for a building.. they are in their nature not that accurate. Use a MGRS or Lat/long reference.

Yep, it would have to be a solitary building with nothing else around it for a ile or so.
