DCS EDGE - sorry, I've searched!

Dear all,

I have searched this forum but am having a tough time to find info. There is a growing interest on the avsim forums regarding DCS and I have a small thread running at the moment. A few have expressed an interest in the EDGE engine, but (having searched) I can't find many relatively up to date screenshots, though I know they exist as I' ve seen them in the past.

Do we have an area where all relevant information is available with screen shots?

Cheers.

They aren't any relatively up to date, the ones you've found are from over one year ago.

There's a post by Wags saying there are no screenshots because the engine isn't running yet, it's still being developed.

Thank you for the link. even the old screenshots look incredible. Hope this rig can run that at decent settings....Flight sims make me poor.

Which makes me wonder how the screen shots were taken if EDGE does not yet function.

I knew this thread should have never been buried in Chit/Chat...

EDIT: What Wags has stated at 11-23-2012:

As has been stated several times before, the map itself is almost done. The long delay is due to development of a new rendering engine that is capable of rending the this map and its very high level of detail at acceptable frame rates. Developing a new rendering engine is a very long and complex matter. There have also been some delays due to some changes in staffing and the team having to work on some other projects in parallel. When there is new news, there will be an announcement. At this time, given the work on the engine, it is not even possible to run the map to take screen shots.

Probably in the current engine.

The screen shots show more than acceptable FPS...especially for the 'old' engine.

I think the wrong part of Wags' post was emphasized.

EDIT: Yeah, maybe it could run in an earlier version
