Manuel Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Hey guys, I was flying a short mission with some guys from the 33rd and others where we came to the problem of high pings and Server availability. For the reason I found no thread on Tunngle on the Forum I thought that it might help to share this option of creating a server. Tunngle and hitachi are software that simulate a Local Area Network through the internet. It is basically a LAN-Party without sitting next to each other. Why should I check this out: Ever came across, that some buddy of yours could not find your server (and you enabled you ports and so on). Ever got high ping and latency on the server you wanted to join? This might help for you. What is needed to use this Step1: Go to http://www.tunngle.net/ and download the software Step2: Install and register on Tunngle Step3: Seach for "DCS - Digital Combat Simulator" and double click the result of you search Step4: You should see all members which are currently in this group on the right side Step5: Set up the Server and start Flying. Your mates will find your Server in the LAN menu on DCS:W Multiplayer AFAIK it is working with all the DCS titles and also with most other games which have multiplayer. It's definitely worth checking out and I hope it will get even better in the future. That's all for the moment. Happy Flyin'!
