Turtle47 Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 OK, I've seen a lot of talk and heard a lot of talk on vids on getting the ground crew to do repairs. So can someone explain to me how to accomplish this? I have jumped into a campaign, and made it through 5 missions without getting killed. Now I got all shot up trying to kill 3 T72s with the gun and some cluster bombs to no avail. Did manage to kill 1 T72 with the gun while getting all shot up. Eject would not work, now my canopy is gone and something is wrong with right engine. All I can figure out to get the ground crew to do is rearm and refuel and ground power. I limped all the way back to base, and then couldnt figure out how to make repairs. Win 7 Intel ® CoreZ Quad CPU Q9550@2.83GHz Ram 8GB 64bit NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT

Turtle47 Posted January 7, 2013 Author Posted January 7, 2013 Thanks, I will try all that. Win 7 Intel ® CoreZ Quad CPU Q9550@2.83GHz Ram 8GB 64bit NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT
Evil.Bonsai Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Land, taxi/park (if able), canopy open, ask for ground power, shut down engines. wait for repairs
ApoNOOB Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Does eject work normally for you otherwise? I haven't heard from damaged ejection and I thought i had seen all kinds of damage there was... So maybe I should get shot up more. :)
Frogisis Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Engines seems to be the variable, at least in 1.2.2. I've gotten repairs with only the engines shut off (used the APU instead of ground power the first time since I forgot that was an option). For when it goes wrong: Win10x64, GTX1080, Intel i7 @3.5 GHz, 32GB DDR3, Warthog HOTAS, Saitek combat rudder pedals, TrackIR 5 / Vive Pro, a case of Pabst, The Funk
Dejjvid Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 I've never managed to repair a damaged engine. Don't know if its a bug when you empty the fire extinguisher or not. The engine will only spool at 30% with ITT at 600C. Some electrical system also bugs out when doing a repair. And fire up the APU, APU gen and shutdown the engines. Then you can request the repair. i7 8700K | GTX 1080 Ti | 32GB RAM | 500GB M.2 SSD | TIR5 w/ Trackclip Pro | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Pro Flight Rudder [sigpic]http://www.132virtualwing.org[/sigpic]
Hamblue Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 if the engine only spools to 30% try shutting the throttle to the other engine. Asus Sabertooth P67 Motherboard 2600k CPU, 16 gig DDR3, 1600. I haven't heard from damaged ejection and I thought i had seen all kinds of damage there was... So maybe I should get shot up more. :) I have my eject assigned to a button on my joystick and it works sporadiccally. I think I might have found the key to that, went out of campaign mode and flew a quick mission, got hit by a SAM and hit the eject button 3 times and ejected to safety. Dejjvid Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 if the engine only spools to 30% try shutting the throttle to the other engine. It's off, because it was not started. This issue been around for ages. And i don't think i'm doing something wrong. But i would be happy if someone could figure out what caused this. I have ITT, so fuel have to injected. I don't think the engines compress air that hard when spooling @ 30%. i7 8700K | GTX 1080 Ti | 32GB RAM | 500GB M.2 SSD | TIR5 w/ Trackclip Pro | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Pro Flight Rudder [sigpic]http://www.132virtualwing.org[/sigpic]

Yeah always have to hit the eject three times. I ejected by accident so many times in LOMAC while trying to ditch my fuel tanks. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

"Bail, bail, bail" so pressing eject 3 times makes perfect sense. Anton. My pit build thread . Simple and cheap UFC project
Vlerkies Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Freaks me out, so try my best to save the bird but, when I want out 'I WANT OUT'!
