hollywoodvillain Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Hello all! I'm aware of another post by Necc in the dcs forums about sensitivity problems with another joystick but I figured I'd start another thread about the x65f specifically related to FC3 (I think).... As the title suggests, the sensitivity of the stick is way too much. I generally fly with F1 set at max pressure (22.1lbsf) and then tone the other ones down incrementally several steps, however on MAX (F1) force all the FC3 aircraft seem to respond far too harsh. By that I mean, practically just breathing on the stick causes the aircraft to roll or bank ultra sharp, with no precision whatsoever. I regularly play DCS A10 and Falcon BMS, and have lately been dabbling in Blackshark, and none of these titles have this kind of joystick response (in fact A10 is love muh!). I always play with ZERO curves of any kind, I find a linear response is the most realistic, however steep curves seem the only practical approach I've found thus far in FC3. So I'm curious if any other x65 users feel the same way, or do you guys just use curves, or is there something I'm missing here?:helpsmilie:
401TIGGER Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Have been using the X65F since it came out.... nope not to sensitive at all. My settings are close to default..... just essentially the weight of me hand/wrist seems to work fine... I have a set up where my arm is resting on a pad parallel to the level of the wrist rest on the stik which keeps me from reefing the stik around. My issue is coming up with a good profile for the A10 and the BS....all the other aircraft are straight forward. Deadlines..... I love the sound when they go whooshing by..... Windows 10 Pro w WARTHOG HOTAS and Crosswinds MFG Pedals; i7 9700 @ 3.8GHz, Asus, 16 GB RAM; NVidia GTX 2070 GDDR5x VRam11Gb; 500Gb SSD; Oculus Rift S and a partridge in a pear tree :punk:
Outlaw Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 hollywoodvillain do this, go to game, controller option, axis commands then select the axis u want.. ie: pitch or roll axis then axis tune and set curvature to 45% or u can edit the force setting from the saitek software Specs: 13900k @ 5.5Ghz, 64GB @ 3600Mhz, 3080Ti.
hollywoodvillain Posted January 8, 2013 Author Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) Man guys I appreciate the uber quick responses! Outlaw, I have already tried what your suggesting and it works, kinda. My point was I dont want any curves, force at max, and a smooth ride 401TIGGER, if you seriously have precise control with ZERO curves in FC3 lemme know how you do it, like i said, A10 is butter baby....so is everything else for that matter, just FC3 seems over the top Edited January 8, 2013 by hollywoodvillain
iggsta3o5 Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 having the same issue with my new X-65 trying to get it where i can go gunzo and not have to worry about it twitching everywhere also im used to resting my hand on the rest but when i do that now it makes the force sence go haywire
VashBengher Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Sorry guys what is the difference between these two models? One is old and one is new? Thankyou for help!

bsdr Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 hollywoodvillain, I think I understand your problem, I have experienced it. To be clear about the problem itself, while the aircraft is on the land is it seems like stick is not comes back to center when you release the joystick?
