I bet it still wont solve the Enduro 7970m underutilization issue, especially prevelant in DCS.

FYI I switched form AMD 7970m to NVIDIA 680m recently for this reason, and got a 70% better FPS after minor tweaks/oc. 50% improvement on stock/without tweaks.

yeah, the question is, why wasnt the memory and other parts of the Code re-written in teh first place? considering GCN is nothing like the older GPU Architectures.

Interesting read, I hope the next betas will give an improvement, although I am more than happy with my 7850 OC anyway

would you be happier with 25-35% performance increase, and a huge jump in "fluidity" at lower frames/per second?

Have to leave for work in a few, but loaded the 13.1 drivers. I was hoping to do a quick DCSBSW test, but there is a new interface in CCC and it reset my monitors. An easy fix, but it will have to wait for tommorrow. I am using 7970 flashed to 1Ghz and all is OK so far.

thanks again for the heads up, I am going to stick with 13.1 until the official beta 13.2 comes out. Sapphire 7850 owners have been reporting a install error with the 13.2

AMD Catalyst 13.1 Driver for AMD Radeon™ HD 4000, HD 3000 and HD 2000 Series:

AMD has moved to the AMD Radeon™ HD 4000, AMD Radeon HD 3000, and AMD Radeon HD 2000 Series new driver support model. These updates will focus on resolving application specific issues and critical updates. The reason for the shift in support policy is largely due to the fact that the AMD Radeon HD 4000, AMD Radeon HD 3000, and AMD Radeon HD 2000 Series have been optimized to their maximum potential from a performance and feature perspective.

I'm running the 13.2 beta on 7970 and it works OK but in DCS I have had some strange graphic "glitches" when looking left or right during flight. It's only a rift in the graphic for a split second so it is not a problem. I don't think I got any better frames out of it but it feels smoother somehow.

I like these drivers (13.1), but I've started seeing a graphics glitch with my beacon lights. I'll get a pic of it sometime.

13.1 is the WHQL Version of 12.11Beta11

the 13.2 Beta is actually an incomplete package compiled for press preview of the fixes for Frame latencies, you're gonna have alot of problems with those.

Is it worth upgrading to 13.1 then? I have an HD6950 non reference card. I'm still getting those annoying white circles - has it fixed them?
