Boelie Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Hi all, after googling for quite a bit I'm still having some issues with my programming skills (or lack thereof). I have programmed most of the buttons, rotaries, sliders en hat switches, it just seems 1 thing doesn't want to listen. The ,./; buttons are used quite a bit, for instance for slewing. Now i want to have my trim on a hat switch and these are often CTRL ,./;. For some reason even if i enter both keys in the sst programming software, as i do with many other without issues, it keeps going for the underlying key. So in this case instead of CTRL , it is going for just , I have the same when binding my start engine (L Alt + Home) to a button. It just gets home because these have a function in the game (a10) itself. How can I have the game think im pressing L Alt and Home at the same time without it just getting Home? THanks for the effort!
Hunter192 Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I've recently ordered the X52 Pro and it hasn't turned up yet so I'm unable to help I' afraid. I'm sure someone will be able to though! I don't know who you are, and I don't know what you want. But I will find you, and I will kill you. :pilotfly:
BTTW-DratsaB Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Only thing I can think of is to make sure you are using the correct Control key as DCS distinguishes between the Left and Right versions of these keys. Also, some older version of the Saitek programming software only picked up one of either the ALT,SHIFT or CTRL keys, causing problems similar to your description. The most recent programing software should be fine. Specs: GA-Z87X-UD3H, i7-4770k, 16GB, RTX2060, SB AE-5, 750watt Corsair PSU, X52, Track IR4, Win10x64. 0utLAW Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Try the following; -Right click in the box you want to bind and select "New Advanced Command" -Make a name in the "Command Name" box -Press the key combo you want NOTE: For me I pressed Ctrl and , and 4 boxes showed up. The first 2 have a shadow on the left and top of the boxes. And on the 3rd and 4th boxes the shadow is on the bottom and right. So imagine that these keys represent the keys on your keyboard and there is a light source on the left top corner of the keyboard shining across your keys. So when buttons are pressed the shadows will be on the left and the top and when the button is raised the shadow is on the bottom and right. -Hold down Ctrl and Left click on boxes 3 and 4 to select them both -Right click on both highlighted boxes and select "Cut" -Now Paste in the "Release" box NOTE: At this point you should have a name in the "Command Name" box. The 1st and 2nd key commands in the pressed condition in the "Pressed" box. And you should also have the 3rd and 4th key commands in the raised condition in the "Released" box. Now you need to "Quantize" both sets of commands so they act a a single key press. -In the "Pressed" box hold the Ctrl key down and Left Click on both key commands to highlight them in blue. -With them both highlighted in blue Right Click on them and select "Quantize Time" -If not already done, in the seconds box make it 0.000 and select OK. Your first set of commands in the "Pressed" box should have a Ctrl and , command with shadows on the left and top indicating a pressed condition and a time value of 0.000 under each of them. Now repeat the same procedure for the 2 command keys in the "Released" box to quantize the time for those two commands. Then select OK and save your profile. I would recommend doing this procedure for any multi-key command. Hope I was able to be clear enough. :) i7-8700k 3.70mhz|64GB DDR4 G.SKILL Ripjaw V 3200|ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 2080 8G GDDR6|AsRockZ390 Extreme4|2 Samsung 870QVO 1TB, 1 Samsung 860 QVO 1TB, 1 Samsung 860EVO 500GB|Corsair 750D|Corsair H-100i|Corsair AX750|LG 34GN850-B|Acer UT241Y|TM Cougar MFDs| Buddyfox UFC|TM Warthog HOTAS(Modified Spring/Slew Control Stick, Upgraded PCB, Stick Extension)|Saitek Combat Pedals|Corsair Nightsword|Corsair K70|TrackIR5|Custom A-10C Panels|

Boelie Posted February 5, 2013 Author Posted February 5, 2013 Thanks for the reactions, especially you Outlaw. If you had tried to make it any clearer it would've been transparant. I have everything working now, thanks for making that clip!!! Oh and Hunter, if you're interested, my profile has been made to resemble the original layout on the hotas of the A10. If you want it or need help, just pm me :)
0utLAW Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Your welcome Boelie. I like making tutorials. I'd be curious to see your profile. Do you have an image of your layout? I would like to compare it to mine. :) i7-8700k 3.70mhz|64GB DDR4 G.SKILL Ripjaw V 3200|ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 2080 8G GDDR6|AsRockZ390 Extreme4|2 Samsung 870QVO 1TB, 1 Samsung 860 QVO 1TB, 1 Samsung 860EVO 500GB|Corsair 750D|Corsair H-100i|Corsair AX750|LG 34GN850-B|Acer UT241Y|TM Cougar MFDs| Buddyfox UFC|TM Warthog HOTAS(Modified Spring/Slew Control Stick, Upgraded PCB, Stick Extension)|Saitek Combat Pedals|Corsair Nightsword|Corsair K70|TrackIR5|Custom A-10C Panels|
Boelie Posted February 7, 2013 Author Posted February 7, 2013 Sure thing, you can download it here: http://www.speedyshare.com/ty2jv/printsheet.xps. Note that I don't have Track IR and that I still need to add some minor things
