Habu_69 Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 When I fire a Mav, the SOI immediately moves to the HUD. Is this realistic behavior or sim specific? SOI remaining in the Mav MFCD would seem more pilot-friendly.
HugePanic Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 SOI should change when you press the button to change the SOI. I assume you accidently touch your HAT-switch, or you have a wrong programming of your buttons.
cichlidfan Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 (edited) It has been a while since I've been in the A-10 but when you launched the Maverick, was it your last one? Yurgon Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 It has been a while since I've been in the A-10 but when you launched the Maverick, was it you last one? Would be my guess as well. Otherwise, Mav should remain SOI. IIRC this does not hold true for different types of Mavs, so if you launch your last 65D, you'll have to select 65H or whatever is loaded before you can make the Mav page SOI again (and vice versa).
Habu_69 Posted February 8, 2013 Author Posted February 8, 2013 Got it! HOTAS programming issue. I had HOTAS Weapon Release key command in Options assigned to both RALT SPC on keyboard and to DX3 on joystick. Stick was programmed for DX3. Turns out either functions normally, but for some reason the dual key assignment was a problem. Mav firing now operates normally.
Yurgon Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Mav firing now operates normally. Glad you got it working! :)
Habu_69 Posted February 8, 2013 Author Posted February 8, 2013 Yes, the interesting thing is that merely assigning the same command to 2 key functions was the issue. The HOTAS was programmed only for DX3. I could find no way the RALT SPC function could get pressed.
