I'm trying to create a mission where you get escorted by 2 F16's

however when they takeoff they just go on their own way, they wont go towards me so that they can escort.

this is the task I have given.

this is what they decide to do.

I'm above POTI and they are below BATUMI

Minor note: fastmovers that escort slow planes should not fly a rigid formation with them (even if at a distance). They should be high and fast so they can respond quickly and effectively to threats.

An engagement distance of 20km also means that hostile fastmovers will be able to launch upon your A-10s well before the 16's even try to do anything about it.

Answer of the question that i've never dare to ask.Thank you.How it works then - if i may ask- ? Do the escort fighters circle around the slow movers?

Generally either, fly ahead of the strike aircraft clearing the airspace, setting up a cap over the target area (TarCAP) or flying a zip zag type flight path above the strike aircraft, or another flight profile that allows them to fly at the best speed and altitude for them and their role. The one thing escorts do NOT do is fly at the same speed/altitude as the aircraft they are escorting.
