HUD only view (LAlt+F1) with HUD Frame

Hello fellow flyers,

 

I know the title sounds weird, but I try to exlplain what i mean :huh:

 

I have 3 TFT with Nvidia Surround and 1 TFT for Helios and because of the FPS I´m using the HUD only view (LAlt+F1) which gets me around 10 FPS more. But for the right feeling :) I´m missing a HUD Frame.

 

So here is the question. Is it somehow possible to make just the HUD Frame around the HUD Symbols, like the OpticsFrame in the NVG Mod http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1652771#post1652771 from nrgized or NVG Mod http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=80313&page=26&highlight=night+vision from PeterP ?

I´m thinking of an overlay solution like in the two NVG MOD´s. Unfortunatly I´ve no clue how to make it :( I´ve just the idea

 

I hope you guys know what I mean?

Are you using TrackIR? If not you can just have Helios render a static picture over the hud, similar to how you do the MFD button overlays.

Played a little bit with gimp to cut out the HUD an convert it to a .png file

Set the file as a background with your great HELIOS sofware and it actually works !! :D :D

 

Now I have to tweak the png file a little bit more

Can cockpit builders stop the HUD, helo or airplane from rolling and have just the terrain "roll" while banking? I find this noticable when flying in my cockpit.

So everything works fine, but when i move my head (TrackIR) my "HUD Frame" moves also.

Is there a possibility to fix the HUD Frame on the middle Monitor with Helios?

you don't have to understand the whole thread... just look at the post I have linked and tell if it is it what you are talking about.
