Low FPS again! Please have a look

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I havent been up in the air since the A-10 was released but I decided to give Flaming Cliffs 3 a try, so I have installed everything and started it up. I was very disappointed by the fps I was getting. I seem to remember getting around 80+ fps in the A-10 cockpit, now I barely get 30 . :/ ( mid 20 to low 30 )

I am using 2 Hd 6870 amd cards,

a 6x phantom processor running at 3.8

and 16 Gb of ram.

The cards are only running at 50 - 60 % .. :/

I am using the new AMD beta drivers 13.2 ( beta 7)

Any tips on how I can get it to run as it used to ?

Its hit and miss on the results you get with crossfire sli, certainly the general consensus is its not perfect for the majority by a long shot.

try using different XFire Profiles.

That was my most "optimistic" response from ED when I emailed them regarding them looking at DCSW and making a Profile.

Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2),

ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9)

I have seen alot of people go away from SLI as just not being worth it. To me if DCS cant take advantage of it , not sure why anyone would bother but i hear Crisis 3 is really a huge hardware killer!

Asus P8Z68-V GEN3/ 2500k 4.4ghz / Corsair 64gb SSD Cache / Corsair 8g 1600 ddr3 / 2 x 320gb RE3 Raid 0 /Corsair 950w/ Zotac 560TI AMP 1gb / Zalman GS1200 case /G940/

SLI and cross fire are worth it if you drive multiple displays otherwise for DCS better to turn it off.

EDIT: I mean response from AMD.

Also, lol, what's a Phantam processor?, never heard of it, and Im looking at AMD's unreleased Processor list too.:megalol::megalol::megalol:

TBH, Xfire is only for 2 Types of People, Most Power on a Small Budget, or the Most Power on No Budget.

ie. Most Power on Smaller Budget

Two 7870XTs (the 7900 GPU Version), runs about $230 Each,

So 460 gets you 3072 worth of shaders, a 7970

where as $460 7970 GHz Edition will get you 3048 worth of shaders.

OC Ability?, 7870XTs can hit 1200Mhz/1500MHz on Stock Volts and Run cooler.

now, Most power on No Budget,

just get 3 or 4 7970s or multiple Titans.

The issue, not every engine supports it, not everyone has the PSU for it, not everyone has the cooling or room for it.

Not Everyone has the Patience for it.
