Fact:

Flying over highly populated areas makes your computer to compute more objects.

 

Question for ED:

Theoretically - IF you would revamp populated areas so that they're not multiple 3D object but one large low poly 3D object, would that make rendering easier for hardware?

how would the engine compute collisions and collisions models then? 1 model = 1 collision model. Find the largest object, shoot rockets at the very corner of it, eventually the whole thing will be destroyed because its a 1:1 ratio

Never even thought about what crossed my mind.

If I spent 30 seconds thinking, I would probably come to same conclusion. :doh:
